@STaRNiGHT my electrohome g07 goes out of sync in system menus using Pi2jamma which has the vga666 circuit too. However afaik I didn’t enable anything like that.

@Zing This is an external HDD booting only only RB. I think what I might do is boot on an SD card and keep all my roms on a different hard drive. i wont have time to try it until the weekend though.

CSL should use CSR chipset, I‘m using the same! Before I tried a Digitus dongle, also CSR. As it didn‘t fit in Superpi case because of its size, I removed housing of both and both modules look quite similiar, just the CSL has a very bright LED compared to the Digitus 😉 Also MAC adress tells me it‘s from the same Chinese manufacturer.

I also tried an Asus dongle with Broadcom chipset, but here I had same problem like with Pi3 B‘s internal Broadcom chipset: Inputs where much too sensitive, for example at steering at Mario Kart.

But as discussed, also tried with internal Broadcom chipset of Pi3 B+ in beta and there it seems work fine. (Not too sensitive and also no known input lag of Pi3 B)
So I hope there is a final version for B+ soon too. I‘m really looking forward because for me there is no real alternative to the really good, new 8bitdo controllers!

@pablo2k1 please, people took time to respond you with very specific instructions... the least you should do is to try it yourself and see if it suits you (as suggested) rather than asking if anyone else would also suggest you the same thing.

Here's a quick update: I tried installing Retropie and managed to get games like Tron and Star Trek to work. Woohoo! The only problem is that of course, Recalbox is nicer. It's easier to install, the attractor is nice, it's faster and it just flat-out works better.

So what's the difference? Why does Retropie work for these games but Recalbox not?

those game ar supported respectively from the 0.150 and 0.142, so no way they run on recalbox (mame recalbox is 0.78)

@NightShadowPT no you can't. That's why we do recommend people unfamiliar with recalbox internals to try it on a a spare SD.

For the sound, you just have to force it at each reboot, this Ill be solved at the next update

No, in Retroarch it was always enabled. I was talking about reformatting the cart in-game (via segacd memory manager)

I figured out the issue. The problem was definitely on my end. Apparently my power supply was dying. I just picked up a new one and now the sound is back.

Scratch that, I was being a moron. All done!
