      My heart hurts when I read comments like that. Why on earth would anyone correct things locally and not in the ScreenScraper database, so EVERYONE can profit from all the needed improvements. The database is cummunity driven and too many people have spent countless hours just so someone like you can just scrape and everything is (almost) perfect for you. If you would have corrected all upstream, it is just a matter of rescraping, as many times as you want, and you would get always better results.

    • Rpi0/1 fbalpha optimizations

      ONLY FOR RPI0/1 VERSIONS OF RECALBOX
      As I don’t own a rpi0/1 myself, I need you, dear community, to test this compiled version of the fba_libretro emulator fbalpha on your boards. It should be on par with pifba (fba system emulator) regarding performance, so users of the lower end boards can use a newer romset and all libretro ports benefits.

      Here is the binary for testing performance differences between fba and fba_libretro:

      (Re-)place the file inside usr/lib/libretro

      And set the appropriate permissions on the file:
      chmod u+x fbalpha_libretro.so

      Don't forget to make the partition rw before trying to copy it over:
      mount -o remount,rw /

      To be able to test the optimization, you’ll need to activate the Cyclone option in retroarch’s menu.
      It might also be useful to set frameskip to 1.

      Don’t forget fba uses the 0.2.96.71 romset and fba_libretro the 0.2.97.44 romset.

      Please compare the same game, from their respective romset version of course, and report if performance is similar between both.

      @miretrobox por que te ayudariamos a que sigas vendiendo ilegalmente nuestro sistema operativo infringiendo la licencia?
      Recalbox es totalmente gratuito y esta prohibido venderlo preinstalado en cualquier dispositivo o utilizarlo como gancho para vender algo.
      Eso no es ser un emprendedor, es aprovecha**e del trabajo de miles de personas, faltarnos el respeto y perjudicar el desarrollo del codigo abierto.

      @bernie-ran I didn’t try to patronise anyone and I certainly didn’t want to start a discussion. But I’ll tell you something... no one on the team has english as his native tongue, so you can’t expect every formulation to be perfect. It is more than understandable though, and if someone takes the time to write something (on the first post, which anyone should read, always), the least I can expect is for someone else that tries to use the stuff there is to read it.
      And yes, this is the place for anything related to the beta.

      @Bug first of all, do not be a coward and try to justify what you did. You didn't only removed everything you wrote (including the scripts and wiki page), but also practically erased your register from the forum. That means, you were hidding. Your intentions...? After our last private talk, I suspect you want do build cabinets for sell and have that script as a bait for your "customers".
      Secondly, if you have no idea what open source is about, you can google it! You made that code public, willingly, for free (not that I would pay for it). Anyone is allowed to use it as they want according to the way you chose.
      We are not discussing about if your code is garbage or not, someone just found a way to revert the mess up you built.
      I might add that I took the time to review your code and asked other real programmers to do the same. And you paid us back erasing everything! Without any comment, and deleting your account! From the depths of my guts and as we say in Spanish: "Que hijo de puta!"

    • The Vectrex Project

      There was a project on a german university last summer and the students programmed games for the Vectrex. Everything has been uploaded (manuals, overlays and the most important, the binary files = roms!) and are free to download. I haven't had time to test any games yet though.

      @RustyMG yes, I'd love to see those machines in their own theme. But as you mentioned, all those machines are already available within the c64 system folder.

      @F0XHOUND yes, eventually all those machines will be splited in their own themes. Vic20 was an easy one because c64 uses the same case as you probably already know 😉

      @Nelyion no sé si entiendo bien tu problema, pero utilizando un scraper externo podés elegir qué hacer con las "decoraciones" del nombre, y que así no se muestren en tu lista de juegos.

      @F0XHOUND all commodore computers are also already supported. Currently within c64 system because I haven't finished drawing the themes for those XD.

      @kikone23 I believe the counter is made to run faster than seconds, and they programmed that to give that sense of hurry. But if you can't beat the levels because it is really too fast, than that's not normal. Watch some videos and compare.
