@berti2k Sorry, I believe the commands are fixed, not editable. But, I'm not a developer, I can't say that it's impossible, but I can say that it's not something an average user can do.

I don't know what you want to do with the GPIOs, but, see if there's any documentation for that, I know we have something for controllers, for example:

It’s still mostly there: when you press Start, pick “Edit Game” (should be the first/top entry).

It might use the full game name and not “Game” actually…don’t have my Recalbox handy to check. 😃

@eksdad Try with a Configuration override file:

@foly12 The Nintendo 64 was a console with a rather specific controller, and unfortunately the N64 emulators were not very well optimized, so both the N64 emulation performance and the configuration of the controls becomes something more complex.
You need to calmly study the tutorials and posts available, trying to adapt to your situation, I know it's not something simple, but unfortunately this happens due to the uniqueness of the console.

Sadly this doesn't help. I already looked in the documentation and this is the place where I read that the buttons are switched.
It doesn't say how this can be fixed for some systems. As I said I can change the buttons in the Playstation, Mastersystem and Dreamcast retroarch Menu, but on NES, Megadrive and SNES this doens't work.

I got it to work! I re-installed Recalbox 7.2.2 again and re-added all the content and it works now. No idea why. Thanks for trying to help me figure this whole thing out, I really appreciate it!

@zehanort You cannot set hotkey & Fast forward on the same button, the most you can do is set the hotkey to a button other than select (not recommended, but possible), and set fast forward to another button.
      Example:
      Hotkey = R2
      Fast forward = L2

You can make a Configuration overload file for this, for an entire console, or, just for a game, read the documentation:

      https://recalbox.gitbook.io/documentation/advanced-user/configuration/configuration-overload https://recalbox.gitbook.io/documentation/advanced-user/configuration/configuration-overload/retroarch-overloads

Use the survey tool and you will notice that some users here on the forum have already successfully done configuration overload (not for this purpose).

      Was ist Ihr Joystick-Modell?
      Welche Konsole ist dieses Spiel?
Nur in diesem Spiel hat nicht funktioniert? Hast du es mal mit einer anderen ROM versucht?

Small step forward, in /recalbox/scripts/rpi-pin56-power.py I replaced GPIO from pin 5 to 17 and now by pressing the power button the RPi4 shutdown.

Now would need to setup the power on and LEDs behavior.

      Hello Marc.
Did you finally find a solution?
I have the same problem with 8bitdo in bluetooth configuration.
I also configure it normally in ES.
If i use a usb retroflag snes controller, it works. strange.

@havens1515 You can change the emulator to Libretro and use the MUPEN64PLUS core, or, see these links:

I'll try to find out "why it didn't work before". I think I made something wrong.

@redblueflame said in Home Button Project:

Also @Duds_O_Cara, I think you can use transistors to remove the "switching" noise, typical on relays.

Yeah, it's really possible! In fact, a few cents cheaper since transistors are cheaper than relays. In my case, I used some relays that I bought for my IoT testing and an old PNP Transistor. It's also possible do it using mosfet or other components "key-like".

But I'll tell you: I love the relay noise 🙂 ❤ (in fact, when I build my pinball machine I'll use as many as possible of the most louder relays in order to recreate the old school sounds).

I think a cheap shematic using transistors only should look like this:

      Botao-Home-Mamute-Transistor-600x400.png

      I used tinkercad to validate:
      https://www.tinkercad.com/things/jKHnLiFRhBV

In fact if I'd build it to myself I think I should add a third transistor and pull it's base source feeding from the Raspberry 5V source trying to isolate the Home Button circuit from the GPIO pin ciruit, like I did with the relay project, so the GPIO pins wouldn't be in charge of operating the transistors. That would be something like this:

      Botao-Home-Mamute-3-Transistor-600x400.png

      Tinkercad validation:
      https://www.tinkercad.com/things/0MSJcpwArDV

But I cannot grant it's working with the real Raspberry since I don't have any transistors here to mount a breadboard right now. Maybe I could try this one day.

What do you think about this schematic? Would this run along with Raspberry?
