In my case, it turned out that only .zip worked. Neither .mx1 nor .rom ran, however, they all worked well after zipping them. I also tested on Retropie and Batocera, and confirmed they all had the same issue. Could be fMSX's issue. Hope this would help someone in the future.
"multipad" ? Did you mean multitap?
I've got the same issue with Tekken3 and BushidoBlade2 and it didn't help. It is strange because i was playing those games before an update.
Crash Team Racing is working fine.
Thanks to all the thread I was able to do it
My machine is a laptop and was connected to a second screen via display port
So I have not modified the .xinicrt since I didn't find it but I manually ran the following
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --listmonitors
Then I had two connected monitors
So I did DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output eDP1 --off
And the laptop screen went black
After that I did DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output DP-1 primary
And then I clicked escape on the laptop and I was back in the main screen displayed on the tv
Thank you so much for your investigation and output
@substring, yes I think i found the problem.
I've now tried my old Logitech Controller which works fine.
My project is to mod an old N64 with the Odroid an Recalbox on it.
I'm using Mayflash N64 USB adapter. After i plugged in those adapters i can't run any games. Evene Kodi doesn't start. So there might be an issue with the mapping of the controllers or the USB adapter.
After i plugged them in once, i can't run any game or start Kodi, even if i shut down the Odroid and restart without the Mayflash N64 adapter plugged in.
