    • RE: Bluetooth controller paired, doesn't work

      @M__a__a__x

I've updated recalbox to 9.1, hoping the update would fix this, it didn't. BUT what I actually think the issue is, is my game controller apparently needs a bluetooth dongle to plug in to the raspberry pi USB port. I found that info on the recalbox website. So I guess instead of relying on the raspberry pi bluetooth connection, it will use the dingle connection instead?

Won't those two bluetooth resources conflict with eachother?

    • RE: Bluetooth controller paired, doesn't work

My controllers are xbox and stadia, they don't turn off when disconnecting the usb cable.

Both my controller names are showing in the "pair a bluetooth controller" and when I select them they say "paired". One of my controllers has a solid light, which means it is indeed connected to the raspberry pi bluetooth...it still doesn't work at all. Which means I can't configure them.

    • Bluetooth controller paired, doesn't work

I'm running recalbox 7.1.1 on a rasberry pi 3b, I'm able to pair 2 different bluetooth game controllers, but as soon as I select 'ok' in the 'successfully paired' notification...they won't work at all.

I've successfully used usb joysticks with this install. So I know recalbox works fine with usb controllers.

      Any ideas?

    • Hotkey will not work

I cannot figure out how to get the hotkey to work on my HAPP style arcade buttons. All my buttons perform fine but when I try the 'Hotkey + Select' or 'Hotkey + Start' my games will not quit.

      ESC on my keyboard works.

    • Volume knob with raspberry Pi 3 & Recalbox

Greetings, I have a raspberry pi 3 running recalbox, I’m using some cheap 3.5mm plugin computer speakers into the pie audio jack, they work fine...I’d like to use this additional USB volume knob to control the volume because games have different volumes and it's just faster to control the volume:

      Volume Knob

I plugged it in the opening USB port on the pi, restarted it, started a game with the sound on...and the volume knob did nothing.

How can I control volume this way? Is this possible?

    • RE: Can't connect from mac using SMB

@dapaze Nevermind, got it. Wrong password was the cause. I can connect via SMB.

    • RE: Can't connect from mac using SMB

what ever IP address you gave your recalbox
Well that's the thing, I don't have an IP address showing in the Recalbox Network Settings Menu. It says STATUS: NOT CONNECTED. How do I assign an IP Address to recalbox?

also like @francix said, can you ping your recalbox?

    • Can't connect from mac using SMB

I'm using the latest 7.1.1 download, and I'm trying to connect to recalbox via SMB://recalbox so I can use the web manager tool to transfer roms, and it won't connect using these steps:

      1. Looking at the Network settings in Recalbox, both the STATUS and IP ADDRESS are showing NOT CONNECTED.
      2. When I try connecting to recalbox on my mac using smb://recalbox, I get an error... "There was a problem connecting ..."

I double checked that recalbox and my mac are sharing the same wifi.
