You don't know all the functions of the program apparently.

And it doesn’t allow you to select partitions only .img

The Program lets you select the partition, you're probably just used to using the program's "write" function, where you choose an image and the partition you want to write the image to.

But, it has a "Read" button for backing up a recorded image, where you select the partition you want to back up (read the comments above), and in the path you put where you want to save the backup image.

Search a little more on the internet to find more detailed tutorials, even on youtube you should find something.

ok so my Gamesir's work perfectly fine connected usb. So i guess i have to get 25ft usb cables LOL 😐 , yeah i have a huge theater room that i sit 16ft from the 65 in screen, so i'll have a little bit of slack in the cables.. If anyone from Recalbox team is reading this, please take this post in combo with the gitlab issue

it's some BT issue and only with the Gamesirs, my old Gamesir 3GS and the new T4 pro.. same thing that happens with Mame in the gitlab issue happens with N64, if using the Gamesirs BT , once i start a game with N64 or MAME the controller still looks connected BT but doens't work i have to turn it off/on , on Mame that works, but on N64 it causes only 1 stick control on the Gamesir and my select and start buttons to work..

so while not ideal i would prefer to be able use BT instead of having a cable dragged across my floor 😉

Just FYI those other cores are showing up on PC version of Recalbox, but have not been able to get them working 100% (Video misalignment) I'll be trying to fix it this week.

FIXED!!! thanks to toniosj, see the gitlab link at the beginning of this post.. but essentially it's due to my 4K tv and he had me change some setting in config.txt, so visit the gitlab issue for specifics

Edit your "config.txt" file on /boot folder:
-If you're using PuTTy use "mount -o remount,rw /boot" commmand.
-If you're using WinSCP open console (Ctrl + T), enter command "mount -o remount,rw /boot" and click Execute.
From this file search for hdmi_group and hdmi_mode and set both as following :
hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=4
Don't forget to remove '#' char on those lines if present.

so i found out my roms are not an issue it's Recalbox 7.0.1 on pi4, those roms run perfect on my pi3 recalbox 7.0.1 .. Also i took the liberty as i said to put Retropie latest on my pi4 and those same roms donkey kong, mk, they run perfectly fine..

so this sound issue is only on pi4 recalbox 7.0.1, and it happens on other systems as well even NES, i have the same issue where the sound just hisses ,skips , pops , crackles, i took a video of it and place it here on my google drive.

That's weird because I'm having the same issue but with the 8bitdo NES30 pro controllers, too bad I don't have a GAMESIR to see if it works for me, maybe then we can just exchange our SD cars! 😁

In RB menu, you can generate the game list. Go to a game listing, open the menu and choose to generate the game list (I'm not sure about the translation used, it's to recreate regenerate the game listings) 🙂

so i hadn't used my recalbox pi setup since 2018 and it was a version of recalbox from 2016/17.. so i had just reloaded it with recalbox 7.0 yesterday.. so i found it uses mame 2013 plus and a newer version of retroarch from what i was used to.. also i couldn't get the normal mame 2013 mame menu to pop up using keyboard tab key.. this link below explains what settings to set in retroarch that's in recalbox 7.0 so that you can just use the keyboard for mame menu 🙂

Hi, I have the same Issue,

I bought these pads before to start using Recalbox so it is a shame I can't use them.

However those pads worked fine with the
Alpha of Recalbox: but not with the beta.

One of the guys behind the Rock64 version said me that the current latest beta's use an updated version of Recalbox and relatives drivers, however if it exists a way to downgrade or select which driver using maybe this could fix the issues with this pad.

Is it possible selecting which driver using? I mean I may add the working module and deactivate the current one.

Please let me know if for your knowledge what I said is feasible.

well did some more experimenting. i hooked 1 up BT the other up using USB cable direct. both worked fine. i then took the direct one and unplugged it then plugged in the 2nd USB BT dongle/adapter and turned it on, then it picked it up BOTH of them! 🙂

so i think if i boot up recalbox with BOTH my adapters BT USB dongle/adapters plugged in only 1 controller will work, but if i boot up recalbox with only 1 BT USB dongle/adapter connected, make sure the controller for that adapter is connected. then plug in the 2nd BT USB dongle/adapter then 2nd controller then picks up fine.

i saw a separate post that recalbox 4.1 when it comes out will use the built in BT on the Pi 3 ??? would it then pick up both of these controllers without me needed to fanagle it like i am now and on top of that have to use BT USB dongle/adapters ? thanks
