@melonkame There may be some incompatibility with the video driver, but I can't say that's the problem, it's just an assumption, and if that's the case a common user can't do anything.

But, if you are able to run on one computer and not on another, this other computer is probably not powerful enough...

@pirracas77 Check if any of the suggestions in this topic help you:

I believe your problem is related to the LEGACY / UEFI mode, or, it is a problem with grub.
If it is LEGACY / UEFI mode (safe mode interferes directly with some BIOSes), you need to change this parameter in your BIOS.
If it is a problem in Grub, it will be changed in the next version of Recalbox: "Grub2 package fix for legacy booting (# 1484)" (See here)

Found another bug: Gamecube & Wii refuse to load without my gamepad plugged in. Often when adding new stuff and no intent on actually playing anything at the moment? I might not have my gamepad plugged in and just using keyboard instead to test things out. Gamecube & Will? Nope, it auto-kicks me back to the main menu as soon as i select a game. The games only run when a pad is plugged in. I think this is the only system that does that.

I'm using the 64-bit Pc version of Recalbox also. Not sure if i mentioned that earlier.

FIXED!!! thanks to toniosj, see the gitlab link at the beginning of this post.. but essentially it's due to my 4K tv and he had me change some setting in config.txt, so visit the gitlab issue for specifics

Edit your "config.txt" file on /boot folder:
-If you're using PuTTy use "mount -o remount,rw /boot" commmand.
-If you're using WinSCP open console (Ctrl + T), enter command "mount -o remount,rw /boot" and click Execute.
From this file search for hdmi_group and hdmi_mode and set both as following :
hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=4
Don't forget to remove '#' char on those lines if present.

@hitmaker Your SD card is probably corrupted.
You can try to recover it with Windows, but, it may be necessary to reinstall the system and, perhaps this will not even solve ...
The recommended is to use a small SD card for the system, and put the ROMS, BIOS and other things in external storage.

Put your WAD fils in ports/doom folder

@luc1anocruz I don't have this game, nor do I know it, but, researching it, it looks like it's a MAME game that uses a CHD file, is that it?

These games tend to be heavier, and in order to avoid crashes, you usually need a better hardware...

Perhaps, if you change the romset and the corresponding core, there may be some improvement, but I cannot guarantee, you need to test...
