I can't tell you why the controllers behave like that either. I did some research on this but didn't find anything really useful. I'm thinking about switching to a different USB encoder anyway (2 player board). But for now I'm happy and it works...both on the RPI4 and on my new Mini PC. Appreciate I'm shouting into the ether here but maybe it'll help others.

I managed to get into dolphin config on my beelink by trying to load a title that still showed up in gameslist but must have been deleted at some point. I played with some graphic's settings stuff in the hope it'd render the games I did have in the library playable and lo and behold, it did. Have loaded a few titles on both wii and gamecube since the former performing really well and the latter jittery, but not unusable.

Since stumbling up on this however, I've found that I'm unable to exit gamecube and wii titles without hard-resetting the machine, and also that I get a message regarding loading in default language that I need a mouse to ignore/ok. In a better position than I was but any further help would be appreciated.

nb. have tried adding:
gamecube.configfile=dummy
wii.configfile=dummy

in recalbox.conf to allow me to exit with alt+f4no avail

As i mentioned i have used the Rpi imager software from the site, which downloads automatically the latest stable release.

I ended up doing a re-install; but there is clearly a bug somewhere linked to controller settings and mame. I wish I had been able to isolate the issue.

There's no edit function... (lol just found it making this - duh!)

Added psx.videomode=CEA 4 HDMI to the recalbox config

changed boot\config.txt

and now the psx works, doesn't fill the screen anymore but it is central which is nice, still can't get the N64 screen central
