You are not able to run Recalbox directly from the SSD because you are doing it wrong:
Rpi is not designed to boot the system other than from the SD card. You need to install Recalbox on your SD card, and use your SSD to store the ROMS/BIOS/saves/etc, just select the storage location from the Emulationstation menu.
Otherwise, I recommend that you read the links I sent in the previous post, you are not the only one that uses this joystick model, and I don't see other users reporting this type of problem, so I don't think a script is necessary.
As I don't have this joystick model, I can't test it, so what I can suggest is what has already been done by other users.
Sorry to up this old topic but it seems putting pak0.pak and pak1.pak files in Quake folder and not in id1 folder as indicated in the readme solves the issue (tested on 7.2.2).
Hope it can help some people.
Sorry, but the forum does not support outdated versions, you need to be using the latest version if you want support (and, unfortunately, for versions prior to 7.0, it is necessary to do a clean installation).
@codaa merci d utiliser ton sujet intial . Je te le redis en français
la partition root est en lecture si tu veux faire des manipulations il faut la passer en écriture. et il est conseillé de dézipper sur son pc et de transférer les fichiers ensuite. Recalbox est minimaliste.
is recalboxmanager installed? try visiting the IP address of the box using a browser from a different computer. If it is installed and working you should be able to manage software from there. You could also just reinstall (wipe and reload) the box with a new version of recalbox which may be a safer bet.
psx not support zip/rar files, check readme.txt file in psx rom folder.
## RECALBOX - SYSTEM PSX ##
Put your playstation roms in this directory.
Rom files must have a ".iso/.img/.pbp/.cue/.ccd/.cbn/.m3u/.chd" extension.
.bin files need a .cue file to be started.
These cores needs 3 new BIOS (names are case sensitive) :
scph5500.bin - 8dd7d5296a650fac7319bce665a6a53c
scph5501.bin - 490f666e1afb15b7362b406ed1cea246
scph5502.bin - 32736f17079d0b2b7024407c39bd3050
@anonpebbles you should have 3 partitions, at least. What you mebtiin is the 1st partition used for boot. If you ever reach es, try to make a support archive. Otherwise you may have to laje an img of your sd, upload it si that i can check some logs. But insee no reason why it would reboot
there is little bug in the current version. You will have to override the automatic config OR you will have to configure at least this buttons on your controller (maybe the buttons do not exist, but you must set them, don't skip them in the config dialog):
It is the mupenConfig.py that fails, if you missed one button. It takes you back to ES frontend then...
