While Recalbox with Pi2Scart doesn't automatically detect your TV type, it does default to a safe mode compatible with both 4:3 and 16:9 displays. You'll likely need manual adjustments for optimal output on a specific CRT, but the initial settings prioritize preventing image stretching or cropping on either aspect ratio.

This means you'll see black bars on a widescreen TV, but your classic games will appear correctly on a 4:3 CRT without further configuration.

@alvin thanks. Now I have the answer thanks to a friend who sent me the information, 7 used Libretro core as default, now 8 has another. I could test game by game again with new cores or try to edit the xml file. More work to do.

I'll try to find out "why it didn't work before". I think I made something wrong.

@yadid yeap there were compatibility problems between A500 and A600, but that was not most of the stuff. Probably due to a different kickstart and newer librairies. On RCB, i mainly use whdl roms and a few .adf. Most of the games & demos (i automatically exclude AGA softwares that are stocked in A1200 folder) run without changing the default configuration.
If you are a former Amiga user, i suggest you download whdl in .lha format and try them.
For info, the next RCB V7 uses a new version of Amiberry (and the mouse is at least optimizted), the GUI interface is clear and simple. P-uae is also avaible (i prefer amiberry although).

@mammoth I'm very sorry, but we can't help you. Selling recalbox or installing recalbox in commercial products if prohibited by the Recalbox license and by several emulator licenses.

www.retrogamingbox.com is violating the Recalbox license and is selling Recalbox illegally as well as thousands of game illegally too (they are still copyrighted and not free to distribute).

The Recalbox team DO NOT endorse or validate such actions.
