When I load EUR games say for the Mega Drive or SNES, I have a large black bar at the bottom, a smaller black bar at the top, and a very slight flicker. How do you solve this?

Is there a way to get good light gun support in Recalbox other than the Wii Bar? What about Gun4IR for example? It basically behaves like a mouse.

Just a quick question but how does Recalbox and a Pi2Scart know that you're using a 4:3 CRT and not a 16:9?

@wizzard That's good. Yes it works quite well but I'm having issues with most PAL games (SMD, SNES, SMS) with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen and a little bit of flicker, notable on title screens like SMB. It's not the normal 50hz black bars either as they're not same size above and below.

@wizzard Hey. I did get it working by plugging into a modern screen first.
Unfortunately, all my PAL games are playing with a squished display so it's not currently plug n play like some CRT builds out there.

Could you point me to the documentation that mentions the recalbox-crt.config? All I've found on setting up RB with a CRT is this page: https://wiki.recalbox.com/en/tutorials/video/crt/recalbox-on-crt-with-scart-dac which is frankly not very clear.

I have a pi2scart connected to RPi3 and a clean image of Recalbox 8. I get nothing on screen of the TV.
I then mounted the SD card on a PC but can't find recalbox.conf to add the entry mentioned in the wiki?

Am I supposed to get it all setup via a HDMI monitor first??
