      @mikeyramone1234 If the internet is working, ignore the "not connected" status.
      If it doesn't work, give more information:

      What is your version of Recalbox (say the version, don't say "latest")? Did you build your Recalbox yourself, or download a ready-made image from the internet, or did you buy everything ready-made? What is your hardware (PC/Rpi0,1,2,3,4)? Have you tried reconnecting the internet through the WPS option?

      @ridsama said in Cannot save Retroarch Configuration:

      @retroplayer88 I'm not sure if this is RC specific, but for RA, you have to close content first before you can save system wide config.

      That was the trick. thank you!

      @zing Thanks for the answer. I am not really sure the Surface allows that. as it is based on UEFI. But i will try.

      @brad

      Would this controller not be compatible via Bluetooth?

      Probably... There are thousands of hardware and drivers and the team can't test them all, if it's incompatible, there's not much you can do besides file an issue:
      https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox/-/issues

      But, before opening an issue, try doing a factory reset (available through advanced settings), you will not lose any personal files, but you will lose all custom settings.

      See if this helps:

      @Zing
      I read your topics by translating the first from French, apparently it is a known bug, you just have to wait for the developers, the solutions are only temporary and valid until recalbox turns off.

      Thanks again,

      I managed to fix it on my own soon after I posted this by figuring out how to rebind the controls on SNES9x2002; I'll share my steps for anyone else needing help with this.

      First, load up any SNES rom on the most recent SNES9x LibRetro core. (This core runs crap on a Pi 0, but don't worry.)
      Go into the Retroarch menu (Select + A or B, I can't remember) and go to the quick menu.
      From the quick menu, go to controls and then rebind all the buttons for the controllers to how you want them.
      Then save the core remap file.
      Change your emulation core to SNES9x2002, and go back to the same control section in the quick menu.
      Select 'Load Remap File" and navigate to the core remap file that was made for the modern SNES9x core and select it.
      Finally, save the core remap file for SNES9x2002.

      (All because we can't just do the first bit in SNES9x2002 for some reason... A pox upon you, whoever handled porting those old cores)

      Oh, and some words to make sure this can be easily found by anyone who needs it:
      SNES 9X 2002 remap rebind controls buttons GPi RecalBox PiSNES integer scale not saving sticking options settings

      Thank you.
      Seems like Rufus did the job. At least it finished without error message and the installation screen is now running on my GPi 🙂

      Still strange that etcher works fine with other images, but doesn't like RB 7.0

      edit: instead of "/boot/grub2" there should be a "/boot/grub" directory. Please also post the contents of "/etc/defaults/grub" (if present).
