If needed, I can help with beta testing.
What is important to note is that the same controllers worked flawlessly on recalbox 7.x.
Let's just go back to the previous configuration.

RE: February 2019 Beta Version
hi, I have tried the February 2019 and the Christmas betas on a Raspberry Pi3b+ with a Samsung 32Gb Microsd and a 3A power supply.
When I try to set my wifi network in the settings menu I select my network, enter the password, click OK. As soon as I click ok the controls stop working just like if the system has freezed. My router is an old 2,4ghz Netgear with WPA2 protection.
Because of this I cannot save the network settings because the only way to fix this is to reboot but settings are not saved.
I tried with a different network, same issue. -
8bitdo SF30 Pro and M30 Cannot configure
Hi, I have 2 SF30 Pro on firmware 1.37 and 2 M30 on firmware 1.14.
Once the controllers are connected via bluetooth it is impossible to configure inputs.
I have read different threads saying that the problem is the firmware version but it is not the case with my controllers. Both firmware versions are not the latest, both are listed as supported in the Recalbox support page.
All 4 controllers on the same firmware used to work flawlessly on Recalbox 7.
Is there any way to edit manually the button assignment? The buttons work in the recalbox interface, they even work if I start a game. The problem is the button configuration, if I don't do that, I cannot assign a button exit the games.

RE: February 2019 Beta Version
I tried a fresh install,on my pi3b+,same issue with 8bitdo arcade stick,it randomly disconnects.
On the same hardware, same confguration, I have NO issues at all with Retropie latest stable version.
Therefore there must be something wrong in the way bluetooth drivers have been implemented in this beta.

System and ES resolution settings for CRT
I'm trying to override video settings for all consoles as well as for Emulation Station and the system.
Unofrtunately I cannot find any specific setting for ES and system in the /recalbox/system/configs/crt/ forlder.
I'm guessing that the videomode for both ES and system must be set in recalbox.conf just like in previous versions.
Is that correct? -
RE: Recalbox 8.0 Beta!
@**digitalumberjack
these are the timings that I am currently using on 7.1.1
For EmulationStation I use the 450x270 since it makes text so much easier to read.is it possible to override or modify the timings in timings.txt in the Recalbox partition? is it the same as overriding a system timing?
I am trying to follow the instructions to add my overrides but I cannot find the /recalbox/system/configs/crt/ with the default values. I have set my Windows to show hidden and system files but I cannot find the system folder in the recalbox partition.## Video modes system.es.videomode=hdmi_timings 450 1 49 30 91 270 1 1 1 30 0 0 0 50 0 9600000 1 #system.es.videomode=hdmi_timings 320 1 10 20 54 240 1 6 8 10 0 0 0 60 0 6400000 1 global.videomode=hdmi_timings 450 1 49 30 91 270 1 1 1 30 0 0 0 50 0 9600000 1 snes.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 mastersystem.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 megadrive.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 neogeo.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 segacd.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 sega32x.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 fbneo.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 1 3 18 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 psx.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 n64.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 dreamcast.videomode=DMT 4 HDMI nes.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 fds.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 msx.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 msx2.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 pcengine.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 mame.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 gb.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 gba.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 gbc.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 intellivision.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 gamegear.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1 lynx.videomode=hdmi_timings 1600 1 88 150 197 240 1 2 3 17 0 0 0 60 0 32000000 1

RE: Recalbox 8.0 Beta!
I have checked the CRT folder in /recalbox/share/system/configs/, unfortunately it's empty.
I was expecting to find the modes.txt, system.txt and
arcade_games.txt -
RE: Recalbox 8.0 Beta!
hi, I have tried the beta on my CRT TV, a Sony KV-21FX30E.
My configuration is RPi3b+ and PI2Scart.The screen is shaking, the image is not stable in EmulationStation.
I do not have this problem on 7.1 with hdmi.timings set for emulationstation. the image is perfect. I have specific hdmi.timings set in recalbox.conf for each system and ES.
Where in 8.0 can you set the exact timing for each resolution? I'd like to set the same I have on 7.1

Low Audio on headphone jack with v. 7.2
I can barely hear audio on my raspberry pi3b+ after updating to version 7.2.
I tried a fresh install, still audio very very low, I have to move my tv volume to 100% to barely hear something. It worked perfectly with 7.1.1

@valippo said in February 2019 Beta Version:
I have an issue with my 8Bitdo N30 Arcade Stick.
It randomly looses connection (for a few seconds or completely disconnects) on Raspberry Pi3 B+.
It works perfect on mi Pi3 + Non Beta Recalbox. Also, the system randomly goes to black screen when navigating in ES, I have to reboot.
I am also having trouble pairing a second time my Dualshock 4 (I have unpaired all Bluetooth devices first). Again, this does not happen on my Pi3 + non beta Recalbox.
To clarify: raspberry pi3b running official recalbox release I have no issues at all, everything is perfect.
Raspberry pi3b+ running february beta I have all the issues above. -
