Hi, thanks very much for the quick reply, all samples now working great - i guess i am in just too much of a hurry to get everything up and running which means i keep missing stuff!

Everything works fine now,  except virtual Boy and ps3 controller has issues.  A lot of the time it doesn't connect (wireless).  Gonna get a xbox 360 controller in the next few days.  Hopefully that works better.

the button mapping is made on my experience : the 2 lower buttons can easily be pressed by mistake. So, when playing you could combo HK+A and ... reset your game ... so HK is on a flipper button, select is on the right of those 2 buttons, and start is ... well, no need to say 🙂

Hello are you using a CRT screen? you can try to edit your recalbox.conf like that :

## If you use rice core, set mode 480p as below n64.core=rice n64.videomode=CEA 2 HDMI

then inside your /recalbox/configs/mupen64/mupen64plus.cfg add your screen resolution here :

[Video-General] # Use fullscreen mode if True, or windowed mode if False Fullscreen = False # Width of output window or fullscreen width ScreenWidth = 1280 # Height of output window or fullscreen height ScreenHeight = 720 # If true, activate the SDL_GL_SWAP_CONTROL attribute VerticalSync = False

In this example, it is setup for a HD resolution of 720p.

I honestly haven't run into that issue... but it sounds like maybe you have the MAME BIOS files in the wrong location? Just for clarification, not game ROMs, although they're both file dumps of read-only-memory (ROM, *typically), they're really two separate things... MAME is not your regular drag and drop emulator; everything has to be properly named (files inside zips, as well as zips themselves) with the right hashes, and in the right locations. All the info is out there, just have to poke around a bit. Cheers.

Hi, even now, 3 years after this topic has been created the issue still exists. I'm now on Recalbox version 4.1.0. I was able to solve that problem for me to change the Master System core to genesisplusgx in the recalbox.conf. I've added the following line and now I can play Golden Axe Warrior without any problems.

mastersystem.core=genesisplusgx

Think I've solved it. The answer is: recalbox/configs/retroarch/retroarchcustom.cfg (Although the sounds no better - yet)
