Yes, there's no problem posting here, but I usually recommend using the forum to confirm if it's really a bug or mishandling by the user, and, when confirming a bug, use the issues to make it easier for developers:
Developers can't check every forum post to look for bugs, and likewise, it wouldn't do for everyone who thinks they have a bug to open issues, because the volume would be huge.
The forum should serve as an exchange of experiences and support, but also as a filter, and issues should be used to resolve real bugs (which is a much smaller volume).

@vwasteels Have you already tested without the dongle?

Unfortunately, there is a plethora of possible hardware and the team can't have them all or even test them all, so while Recalbox has MANY compatible joysticks, not all of them work.
Probably your problem is a driver incompatibility that only a developer could solve, but for that it is necessary that a developer has a joystick like this and compatible hardware, which unfortunately I think is unlikely.

We depend on user feedback to ensure compatibility, but your joystick is not listed as compatible:

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a solution in this case.

You can try resetting to factory defaults, option available through the advanced settings menu, you will not lose any personal files, but you will lose all custom settings. But it's just a possibility to be tested, I can't guarantee it will solve it.

@JiP Thanks for the reply. The power supply is the official one. The only difference with your setup is the ram. I have 2 and you 4.

Minor addition to this
Once you go through the normal pairing process you need to make a change so that the controller reconnects.

the correct way to do this is to edit /recalbox/share/system/recalbox.cfg and change the follow line(s)

Firstly you must change

controllers.bluetooth.ertm=0

to

controllers.bluetooth.ertm=1

you may also need to change this

controllers.ps3.enabled=1

to this

controllers.ps3.enabled=0

This has been tested with a the official Wii U Pro controller and works flawlessly. I can not attest to how it works with the aftermarket version.

Ich hätte dabei schreiben sollen, das ich den Raspberry Pi 3b+ benutze, der hat ja integriertes Bluetooth.
Jedenfalls hat es so geklappt wir du sagtest ABER, nach einem neustart von Recalbox, connected das Pad nicht mehr.
Dann muss ich es jedes mal neu anlernen.
Wenn ich wie von dir beschrieben vorgehe, wird die LED vom Controller dunkelblau, also connected.
Starte ich jetzt die Recalbox neu, wird die LED am Controller nur hellblau. Dann kann ich aber nix machen also es reagiert nicht auf eingaben.
Erst ein neu anlernen lässt es wieder connecten (Dunkelblaue LED).
Aber wie ich gerade noch festgestellt habe, macht der Wii u Controller das gleiche, also Synct problemlos, aber beim Neustart muss ich neu anlernen.
PS3 Pads funktionieren hingegen auch nach einem Neustart.
Ich werde mal von der RC3 wieder auf die RC2 gehen, dort funktionierte der Wii u Controller einwandfrei.

I had the same problem. I turn off the DualShock 3 driver(in the recalbox.conf)and I resolve the problem in my case.

Wieso sollte ich kein Recalbox nutzen?

Version 4.1 oder habe ich was falsch verstanden?
Nachdem ich das ganze installiert hatte, öffnete sich im Menü ein Pop Up mit Hinweis für ein Update, was ich dann auch installiert hatte.
