@zing many thanks for such a detailed response. For now I have put the IPAC in to dual controller mode and everything seems to be working fine. I will work my way through those links to find a more permanent solution.
I am an amateur, but I have installed the Retropie edition several times, without any problem with my joystick / IPAC2.
Being French, I said to myself, let's test a French product. Honestly, the RecalBox interface is really cool, but the simple configuration of a joystick kit on a Bartop with the IPAC2 usb interface is really a hassle.
I flashed my RecalBox several times on my SDCARD to be sure to leave on a fresh installation, and did many tests, without success. The behavior is as follows, I configure my joystick and its buttons without any problem in the RecalBox interface, I access all the menus.
But as soon as I launch a game (in this case those provided automatically, for example nintendo) the start or select button is not effective, and of course the hotkey does not work either.
@voljega@Substring thanks replying so quickly and for the information. This is information, while disappointing for my project, is understandable. I think I'm going to have to investigate other options in this case.
Thx for clearing that out Subs.
i'll just continue setting up my cabinet with future vision for setting up ratio per game when 4.1 gets released .(any idea about a timeframe for that )
Further I would like to thank you guys for this great frontend.
I think the simplicity in controlling the frontend is what makes me choose recalbox over retropie .(less is more) and must not forget a great "favorites" system is a must as I use that a lot on my windows based cabinet (Gameex).
