And, there are thousands of unofficial youtube videos explaining thousands of different situations, and there are thousands of written tutorials that can easily be found on google, search to find one you like.
i now have edited the emulationstation's es_systems.cfg in share to the exact path from the ssd, but it not worked. that would be awesome, if such a easy way exists 😉
@tdelios for the supported systems, more than 2 GB won't give you any significant performance boost. If you care about kodi and 4k resolution, then probably the higher the better.
I just wanted to give everyone an update.. I am using a "4TB My Passport Ultra" external USB hard drive and it works with recalbox having the Pi power it directly from the USB port.
used the default NTFS partition that came with the drive.
I just needed to find a laptop that supported the USB-C port
@tdelios Just a single file per MAME version/folder, a lot less annoying than changing the core for every single game using the UI menus.
And no, there is no plan to split MAME into version.
Recalbox is currently supporting AdvanceMame, MAME2000, 2003, 2003+, 2010 and 2015 (maybe more in the future). It would be even more confusing than having a single folder.
@voljega thanks for 4TB follow up... I'm going to get one and follow your advice on NTFS usage.
Having the Pi provide the power to 4TB MyPassport is good news as well..
