I installed a fresh copy of recallbox stable version. I noticed that 'Port' and 'Lightgun' are part of the games menu.
How do I turn them off so they are not displayed?

is there a link that shows the detailed end-to-end installation of recalbox.
I'm talking about installing the necessary software and the steps to prep the memory card on your computer right through to taking that memory card, inserting it into the Pi, and running through the recalbox installation, and configuring the controller(s)

I read the thread you gave. Overall, it reads as it is a bug.
Any idea if the fix will go out on the next update and when that update will be?
@acris said in Moving Rom Files From MicroSD To USB HDD:
Hello
you need to edit gamelist.xml to check path files.
@acris
That seems like a lot of work. Any good editors I can use to speed this up?
My microSD card contains a lot of roms in different folders including the cover arts and video clips from the subfolders.
I bought myself a 4TB USB HDD and moved all files and sub-folders from the rom folder from the MicroSD card to the USB HDD.
After I rebooted the Pi, the cover arts and video clips for the games I have are gone. Only the generic listing of games for each console is listed.
Do I need to edit each gameslist.xml to point to the USB HDD or is recalbox have a bug to support cover art images and video clips from USB HDD?
Never in my life, I have ever done the SSH step before removing ROMs.
Yes, I understand that the gameslist file is going to get bloated with games that I no longer have in the folder, but never experienced any performance issues doing this way.
As I mentioned earlier. Real simple and easy in the past to simply delete the rom files from their respective folders, reboot and the deleted games no longer appear on the screen. If I deleted all the games in the folder and rebooted. Then the game console title would not appear at all which helped reduce the clutter of consoles from games I don't have at all.
I'm going to edit the gameslist as a test to see if removing it from there will solve the problem. I am also going to re-scrape to see if that solves the issue.
@Claudio-Cortes Mine is a fresh install on a brand new 32GB micro SD memory card on a brand new Pi 4.
Once I installed Recalbox and noticed all the pre-installed games. I connected my Pi to my network and removed all the ROM files from their rom folders as I am a veteran Recalbox user.
Once I rebooted my Pi4, I expected the gaming consoles to disappear on the screen assuming the behavior would be the same as the 6.x version, but instead they remained with the listing of the deleted games in them..
I hope the response I get is that now we have to edit gameslist.xml file manually to update what we delete from the rom folders.
In the 6.x versions, when I removed roms from their folders and rebooted my Pi, the listing of games for that console would automatically be updated so that the removed games are no longer shown.
In 7.1.1 when I removed the games that came with the installation and rebooted Recalbox, the games are still listed on the screen (and obviously not playable).
How do get 7.1.1 to automatically update its screen listing of games when I remove them from their room folders?
Is it possible to play old PC games on Pi 3b+/4 using Recalbox?
If so, what are the steps?
Do I need to install 7.0 first and then go through the upgrade to 7.0.1 afterward or has a 7.0.1 IMG file been created?
Is it possible to run two instances of Recalbox on a Pi4 at the same time so that one instance can utilize one HDMI port and two USB ports (for controllers) and another recalbox instance can utilize the second HDMI port and the other two remaining USB ports for another set of controllers?
@Zing This is not helping. your link is talking about 2GB..
I'm asking about 4GB versus 8GB Pi4...
Will I get smoother gameplay with PSX, Dreamcast systems with 8GB than 4GB, or I won't notice a difference?
I'm debating to buy a 4GB or 8GB Pi4
There is a $30 difference between the two.
How much of a significant difference in performance will I notice playing games like PSX, Dreamcast between these two models?
Hi all..
what new gaming systems have been added to version 7.0 ?
I just wanted to give everyone an update.. I am using a "4TB My Passport Ultra" external USB hard drive and it works with recalbox having the Pi power it directly from the USB port.
used the default NTFS partition that came with the drive.
I just needed to find a laptop that supported the USB-C port
when I run the Skraper against the NES games, it doesn't return any graphic images or video clips within Recalbox.
I was selected the "Family Computer NES" from the Skrapter app, but the image of the console on the bottom of the app doesn't look the same as the traditional NES console.
I'm thinking that I selected the wrong one, but there is no other 'NES' option in the Skraper menu, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?
@scavy this is a very good video that explains how to use the skraper:
@oyyodams is there a youtube or instructions web on how to perform the video scraps using that software and also give instructions to which folder I should copy the video clips into on the raspberry pi?
@paradadf which consoles does Video Clips support?
I ran the scraper against my neo-geo and psx roms and make sure 'use composed visuals' was 'on'.. but after the scraping was completed and I rebooted the raspberry pi, the image art for the games only is displayed and not the Video Clip.
Is there another setting I need to turn on in order to display the Video Clip and not the image art?
I installed the latest 6.1.1 Recalbox and I assumed that the video clips for each of my rom games would automatically be there instead of the image art.
Does anybody have a link to the instructions for me to setup the Video Clips for the games for each console I have?
