I managed to restore the gamelists from an old backup and at least now i can get to the games listed on the old gamelists, but when I try to update them it simply ignores the files present in the sd card. Sorry but this seems like a bug and I simply can't get it to update. the es log simply says it pa**es the XML files but it doesn't seem to look for the rom files in the card.

I restored a backup and the wifi came back, it had the same settings as my previously faulty install had. Weird.

Did you manage to make it work? I am looking for the same thing, to change from gpio3 (5) to any other.

w00t! i solved it and it was the stupidest f**king thing. Turns out i was tinkering around with the power switch scripts (to turn a button into safe shutdown switch) and since i forgot to comment the line back, and the VGA666 was taking all the GPIO pins, it was probably triggering it into shutdown. It was confusing me because i had no screen stating that the script was being triggered into running and the screen went away in a really strange way.

s**t at least i solved without going insane at the pi or the vga or whatever. haven't tested the hdd but it was clear as daylight when i saw the powerswitch.sh being started at the log (should check logs more often i know). thanks anyways!
