Hi. I use ES 1920x1080 resolution, and the text of game's names doesn't appear correctly. Anyone with this problem?

je n ai rien changer dans mon fichier retroarchcustom.cfg sauf de mettre custom pour la taille d ecran

@williamhatcher A theme will soon do it 🙂 The theme is ready, we just need to update emulationstation by adding some development that should is over by now, but we're waiting to check for a first bugfix release (or not)

So basically you were telling me that recalbox has an aspect ratio problem, now you're telling me it doesn't happen with SNES ... I'm still saying : TV settings, or you changed some parts of the configuration. All emulators are rendered in an upscaled 1:1 PAR. For performance reasons, ES is rendered in 1080p but emulators are in 720p (except N64 which is in 640x480). When you say FBA, do you mean piFBA or fba_libretro ?

The screenshots I made were not with my phone but a direct capture of the GPU framebuffer. So it's exactly what Recalbox produces as output to your screen.

@dem1980 je peux pas trop t'aider mais a priori oui retropie a pas mal bossé sur ES alors que la team Recalbox se concentre sur la 4.1 peut-être que les modifs d'ES côté retropie seront intégrées dans le futur

et il est clait que ni le carousel ni les vidéos ne sont supportées côté recalbox

tout ça vient ceci dit de l'historique d'EmulationStation, abandonné par son géniteur et forké des dizaines de fois, mais je suppose que tu dois être au courant

It could be possible to add a switch in recalbox to show only clean names for roms without the region. But that means you cannot differentiate the same game from two regions. If it's still a feature request, maybe you can open an Issue on github : https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/issues
