Is it possible to install Recalbox and LibreElec as Dualboot on a PC ?

Theoretically yes, it is possible to dual boot between any 2 operating systems.
But, we do not recommend dual booting Recalbox with any other system, the ideal is to keep Recalbox separate to ensure that one system does not interfere with the other and cause any unwanted headaches.

As we don't recommend it, we don't have official documentation for this (although there are some tutorials from some users who were interested and did dual boot, which you can use as a base).

Do you have multiple profiles in your Netflix account? When I used the Netflix addon about a year ago I always had issues with it syncing those because the addon changed or lost the 'default' profile every now and then. But this guide can help me with the issue.

There is a big difference between "not supporting" and "preventing people to download open source software".

I understand your point of view, but we never prohibit any user from keeping a copy of an old version of the system.

As I said, it's the developers' decision not to distribute the obsolete versions anymore, I hope you understand, even if you didn't like it.

Please do not encourage downloading of old versions, much less distribute links to sites with copyrighted content, this is subject to banishment.

My Kodi works fine without internet, but the weather add-on does throw a non-critical error. Could be a Kodi add-on giving you an issue.

I figured it out. I guess you have to use the port 8081 instead of 8080.
So if anyone reads this, the address for the kodi web interface is: [ip-address]:8081
Is this really common knowledge? Otherwise I think it should be stated somewhere on the website or in the manager.
I found it out by searching the forum a bit more thoroughly and came up with a comment mentioning a now non-existing github link.

To be honest I'm a bit shocked. Is there anywhere a download for the most recent RPi2 image with Kodi still included? (Oh, and I'd suggest to prominently document such an important breaking change.) My old setup that I wanted to upgrade (on the same hardware which is perfectly fine) dates from 2016. On another RPi2 I have libreelec with a much more modern Kodi. In fact that's the reason I wanted to upgrade in the first place: finally have a less dated UI in Kodi.

This is a bug which will be fixed for 8.1 🙂

No, the Recalbox team is small and there is no way to support multiple versions of the system, so only the latest version is available.

@phreatic Using a network share (on a NAS for example), you can share the same /recalbox/share accross several Recalbox-es on different boards.
You may also share the same /recalbox/saves, however you might get some issues:

We cannot guarantee the version of an emulator on different boards, even in the same version of Recalbox. So, you may face some compatibility issues If 2 recalboxes play the same games at the same time, they could overwrite their saves each other

@chardstone it may be a pita for you, but I opted to dual boot my pi so that I wasn't waiting for recalbox to update their Kodi version.

Recalbox 8.0.0 (I mean stable) uses the latest plugins versions 🙂

@ysh A little update just in case it might help any one concerned by the same problem.

I had to redo the same thing each time I upgraded Recalbox to a new version.

BUT not since 8.0 ! Recalbox seems to be able to handle that problem now. Awesome work Recalbox team ! Thank you ^^
