RetroFlag GPi Case + Raspberry Pi Zero 2: Kodi wont start
-
Hi,
I installed Recalbox 8 and turned "Kodi", "Kodi Autostart" and "Kodi start with X" on. Still, I cant access it over the settings menu.
I cant find a Logfile with an error when connecting over ssh.Any Recommendations how to debug this?
Best Regards

@stoer According to the changelog:
https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md
"Disable Kodi 19 on rpi1, rpi2 and rpi3 due to compatibility issue (#1815)"
-
@zing Since only the Raspberry Pi 4 is supported for Kodi on Recalbox, could it be possible to have the last compatible build available to download for older cards?
The 7.2.2 would work apparently -

No. The developer team, and the support team is very small, we wouldn't be able to support many different versions, so it's a decision of the developers not to distribute outdated versions.

There is a big difference between "not supporting" and "preventing people to download open source software". Even more so when older hardware get 'unsupported' by the new software.
It's actually the first time I see that in the free community, it's more common this last decade in the proprietary world though.LINK REMOVED BY MODERATION: PLEASE DO NOT DISTRIBUTE LINKS FROM SITES THAT DISTRIBUTE COPYRIGHTED CONTENT.

You will get into a lot of Trouble, first for posting links to old Versions (they don't like this here ) and than for "insulting" the Moderator of this Board and the "Reaclbox-Team" wich spends a lot of their Time fo give you this Software for free. -

I understand your point of view, but we never prohibit any user from keeping a copy of an old version of the system.
As I said, it's the developers' decision not to distribute the obsolete versions anymore, I hope you understand, even if you didn't like it.
Please do not encourage downloading of old versions, much less distribute links to sites with copyrighted content, this is subject to banishment.
