@julandrod it has probably something to do with the theme you installed. Try with recalbox’s theme to see if the problem gets fixed. If that’s the case, you can try contacting whoever created that theme and report the issue there.

@bryceone I already have no suggestions ... how do you connect the PC to the monitor: VGA cable? Do you have an adapter? What is your monitor? Have you tried another?

@nilocretep no idea. Try it on another pc and compare. It might be something isn‘t fully supported in our build.

Go to core options and set a value of 2 for frameskip, if it's not enough try higher values, but honestly i don't think there is a way to get psx running smoothly on a x86 @ 1.66Ghz. Due to the lack of x86 dynarec, that's a very bad choice of hardware for this system.

Great! Thanks, that fixed the main problem. However I still have the distortion. I uploaded some images to better see the problem. As you can see there are few straight lines, and when I move the selection bars in the menus, distortion moves too.

What could it be?

http://elinux.org/RPi_SD_cards This is the link to the compatible SD cards on the Raspberry Pi. I did buy the 64GB Transcend card but it didn't work. If your Raspberry Pi doesn't boot when you write the files to it using Windows, check it's formatted as FAT32 and as a Primary rather than logical partition. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to achieve this.
