now i've tested several Options.
I set global Videomode to CEA 4 HDMI - no schange
in the mupen64 config i changed the Resolution to 1440x1080. It's 4:3 but the screen is not centered, it's on the left screen side.
The Options are correctly set to force 4:3 But with the 1920x1080 Resolution it's still streched.
When i use the libreto core it's centered and 4:3 but this core is significant slower.
So what can i do now?
With the updated versions of Mame Emulators, you don't have any of these problems now. For future readers, I want to say that Mame Games rocks in 2019. The old generation like me loves Mame Games.
Sorry I had to resurrect this thread but it seems I had just created a thread about this same issue before realizing this one existed. I just wanted to reference this thread to my new one. Here is the new thread I created https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/17567/how-to-change-resolution-per-game.
It does seem that RecalBox is rather behind in-terms of useful settings compared to RetroPie.
this game has a chip, so it's a pain in the a** to emulate. it need to be patched, or some decrypted file along the rom file on pc, don't know for recalbox.
@soundmanx2 To find out all systems that need BIOS, read the Wiki: https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Add-system-bios-(EN)
Inside each emulator folder, there is a .txt file that tells you the correct ROMS format and tells you if you need a BIOS.
About SNES ... have you tried changing the emulator / emulation core?
