Games are NOT overclocked at all, but did you get US or EUROPE roms ? Because sometimes depending of the region, the speed might be different. Try different roms.

You can use FileZilla or WinSCP to connect by SSH to your Recalbox and add the roms into the correct roms folder at this path "/recalbox/share/roms/"

If it's a nvidia GPU, you might want to use the unofficial image with proprietary drivers and follow the guide here : https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/15914/recalbox-pc-x86_64-avec-les-drivers-nvidia

Open-source nvidia drivers just sucks (up to 20 times slower), and that's what official recalbox image is using.

Recalbox does not allow adding new emulators, not for ordinary users. You would have to recompile the system, which is extremely difficult and only the users with advanced knowledge know how to do, basically only the developers do this.

@martimallow there is a _readme.txt file inside ecery rom folder which explains the supported formats. n64 does not support zipped files (standalone at least, which is the default), so you’ll need to uncompress them.

@maurovela wirh the correct bios files, the game works. You can aleays try another rom in case you are using a bad dump.

@iggy2 you can't configure any control in this version, maybe in a future one.

Now, your problem seems very odd, did you try using any other emulator to see how the joystick behave ? especially one using a standalone core like dreamcast or psp ?

Because from what I see these could be one of these :

your joystick connections are rotated, but in that case if up is left, left should be down you have shot circuit issues in your joystick

It would also help if you could give the references of your joystick encoder

@tobyrieper you should not worry, as there is nothing you can do if your hardware, in your case xu4, doesn’t support those versions.

OK I will try and experiment with it. I've learnt so much already. Recalbox is great. Definitely my favourite of the distributions. I posted a topic also about not being able to select rice core for mupen plus. I would really like to try it out but can't figure out how I can select it

Don't you already have a dosbox.bat, cfg or conf file with your Gog game ?
