So does anyone have any info that i can use? I looked into the mk_arcade_joystick_rpi.c file, and saw where it can be altered.. But i'm guessing it's not that easy, and i wouldn't know how to install the modified file anyways I guess i'd have to repack it into a deb file? I may even need more than 16 buttons. Maybe even 18, so i can have a couple buttons for the emulator menu for example. I don't need the 2nd controller, i just need 1 controller with a LOT of buttons and 2 gpio pins.

Getting the analog into it using the MCP3002 2 channel ADC is another problem. It would actually be nice if we could get a GPIO controller that has a menu for reconfiguring it, so you can pick and choose the pins you use and for what, and the number of controllers. Edit: The GPIOs listed aren't set, since i think i'll need to switch some out, move some of the joystick 1 buttons to the joystick 2, so i can use the upper GPIOs for the ADC. Not 100% sure which ones will be used though.

I had no problems with the PS4 controller and followed the same process I did with the PS3 controller. However, when configuring the keys not all are recognized meaning if you set it up like a PS3 controller you have no buttons left for the hotkey. I have been advised to set L2/R2 buttons to the L3/R3 buttons (pushing down on the joystick) and not use the L2/R2 buttons at all. This then leaves a button spare for the hotkey. I haven't tried this myself, however, it may help. 🙂

Many thanks. Will be nice when the kernel driver is updated but this is a good temporary solution. Any thoughts on the idea of being able to skip buttons during controller configuration Retroboy? On my Thrustmaster Dual-Analogue, which I use as a secondary controller, it would be nice be able to skip/disable the hotkey. Other than the above reason this will also prevent the deliberate/accidental fast-forward, rewind, or quitting of a game if I'm winning! (laughs)

Hi, yep, it's because i put back the shanwan modified driver as default. The next release you will be able to choose the one you want to use.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, the rom works perfectly, but I can't get the controller to work, even if I set p1 and p2 to use the same controller, I can't use the (now working (YAY!!)) ps3 controller to control the game, Zelda (for example) however works perfectly. Thanks for all the help so far 🙂
