recalbox goes to black screen when exiting a game

Hello everyone, I'm running recalbox on my pi zero and everything works great but there is one thing that doesn't. When I'm playing a game and i want to exit, I press select and start and it should exit to the main menu. But when I do this on any console it goes to a black screen and it stays like that . Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to hard-reset all the time because I'm scared that it will damage my Pi zero.

can someone please help me with my problem?

@joppiesaus181 Sorry, but we need more information to help you:

• What is your version of Recalbox (say version, don't say "latest")?
• Have you built your Recalbox yourself or downloaded a ready-made image from the Internet or bought it all ready?
• Have you just flashed the system image and are having this problem, or has everything worked before and stopped working? If it worked before, what kind of manipulation did you do in the middle of the process?
• Are you using the default theme? (if not, test with the default theme)
• Have you ever tried resetting to factory settings? This option is available in the advanced settings menu since version 7, you don't lose any personal files, but you lose all custom settings.

my version is 7.2.2 reloaded

I downloaded the image from recalbox.com

I have this problem since i flashed it on my sd card

I'm using the default theme

I am having the exact same issue on 7.2.2 Pi 3 A+. Game loads and plays just fine but exiting goes to black screen. I have to hard reset. I have used the reset to factory and still have same issue. No changes made to theme.

Monitoring by Putty using the htop command, I noticed that this event occurs when the RAM memory is completely occupied. When entering and exiting games the system is not cleaning closing ES SERVICES. When viewing the scrap images/videos I also noticed this problem.
To reboot correctly just using the reboot command.

ive got the same problem like joshua with a 7.2.2 on a Pi 3 A+
When returning to the main menu the system freezes complete in blackscreen.

Do you all have an Rpi 3 A+?
And everyone has the same problem of not being able to quit the games?

I don't have the Rpi 3 A+ so I can't test it, and few users have the A+ version, most users had the 3B or 3B+ version (currently, most users have the Rpi4, Rpi400 or the recently released RPi Zero version 2W).

Sorry, but you're confusing it, it's not the same problem, in the conversation above it's clear that the problem is in RPi3 A+, if you have an Rpi Zero 2 then it's another problem, even if the symptom is similar.

If you do a little research on the forum you will find other posts related to Rpi Zero 2, and maybe you can relate to your problem.
I highlight that Recalbox is still in beta version for Rpi Zero 2, so it's normal to find bugs, I hope you'll be a little more patient.
