I am having the exact same issue on 7.2.2 Pi 3 A+. Game loads and plays just fine but exiting goes to black screen. I have to hard reset. I have used the reset to factory and still have same issue. No changes made to theme.

Can someone guide us on how to properly use the new latency feature?

@arcticlion You can hit up http://gamehacking.org/search and download libretro/retroarch compatible cheats. I suggest sticking with the game genie codes. They seem to work better. You can download specific codes too, by checking and only downloading checked. Then its just a matter of moving the file over to recalbox share folder. You can load the cheat manually by navigating to the folder you placed your .cht file in the retroarch menu. Hope this helps you out.

I got into looking again today.  In the roms/moonlight folder is steam.moonlight, but when I cat out the file the file is blank,  should there be a sh.bang and command in this file? Like.... #!/bin/bash moonlight stream 192.168.0.101 -1080 -30fps -mapping /recalbox/share/system/configs/moonlight/controllername.map -app Steam

@Subs, Thank you for replying.  Yes, my controller is configured in ES.

I am trying to get Moonlight working.  I followed the Version >=4.0 Beta1 guide and pairing worked, then init appeared to have worked.  But after reboot, I select Steam in the menu system and launch it.  It launches and gives a black screen then brings me back to the selection screen.  I am using all the correct hardware requirements GTX970 and even Nvidia GFE 2.10 but can't figure out what the problem is.  Has anyone else had this issue and give me some advice to try?  Thanks
