• Added a button "Update of the Core" in the panel 'Actions possible on selected Roms' which allows to automatically select the core best suited for arcade games (Mame, Neogeo, Fba, Fba_libretro etc. .. .) via a database (BestArcade4Recalbox-18-03-30, 1777 games listed) (request from Fourch)
  A backup of your gamelist before modification is automatically created when you press this button.
  The setting is done via a text file editable by the button 'Edit Arcade Core' in the tab 'General Options' Read the comments in the file before doing manipulations
  ARRM searches in a database based on 'BestArcade4Recalbox-18-03-30'. It searches the game with status 3, then status 2 and finally status 1 and sets the appropriate emulator and core.
  status 1: partially functioning game
    status 2: game running almost correctly
    status 3: game running properly
• Checking the consistency of the local file name with the rom name of the gamelist.xml (uppercase / lowercase problem corrected)

Salut ! et merci ! J'ai découvert votre programme hier, il m'a l'air très bien mais j'ai un petit souci...

Tout d'abord, le lien de téléchargement mène toujours vers la version 1.5.8.1.

Aussi, je n'arrive pas terminer le scraping de n'importe quel système... je ne sais pas si c'est le serveur de screenscraper ou autre chose mais, à un moment donné, il ne trouve pas une image ou une autre, message d'erreur, puis le bouton "stop" reste indéfiniment sur "patientez". je suis obligé de cliquer sur la croix pour éteindre le programme , il me propose d'enregistrer la gamelist... qui est vide...

Si vous pouviez m'éclairer, je vous en remercie d'avance ! En attendant je vais continuer à faire 20 roms max à la fois en espérant que ca ne plante pas ^^ (hier ca m'a pris plusieurs heure avant qu'il ne plante à 580 sur 660 environ... puis apres plantait tous les 30 / 50 environ)

Sinon votre programme m'a l'air très bien et le plus complet que je connaisse, dommage qu'il plante chez moi

@nexusone13 J'ai remarqué aussi ce problème sur la 1.5.8.1 , c'est une erreur du framework microsoft dans mes souvenirs... Le scrap devient de plus en plus lent jusqu'au plantage !
Du coup j'avais réinstallé une vieille version et le scrapping était beaucoup plus rapide !

@secamfr A avoir un peu chercher pendant deux soirées, j'ai regardé les log, afin de me rendre compte, que j'avais aussi des problème de scrap random (erreur de connexion à la database, plusieurs images à la suite qui manquent, et ensuite qui apparaisse si je rescape , avec le programme UXS).

la nuit dernière, j'ai scrap plus de 1000 roms avec ARRM, aucun plantage. fin d'apres midi j'en ai eu un bug ou deux, puis ce soir un peu plus.

Le souci vient donc du serveur screenscraper qui n'est pas des plus stables. D'ailleurs il est parfois down pendant quelques minutes.

Enfin, nexusone13 m'a confirmé que ca venait bel et bien de screenscraper et qu'il travaille sur une nouvelle version d'ARRM pour minimiser les plantages. j'imagine passer outre ce genre de bug et/ou mettre une image par défaut.

Sinon j'adore ce programme, l'option Mix-Me est magique quand il manque un media sur screenscraper!

Si j'avais une suggestion: je sais qu'il y a moyen de scraper des sous-dossiers (je ne parle pas des roms dans ce sous-dossier mais du sous-dossier en lui même) je l'avais fait pour retropie il y a plus d'un an, manuellement.

En gros, par exemple dans la gamelist cela donnait:
pour une rom: <path>./sousdossier/nomdelarom.zip</path>
pour un sousdossier: <path>./sousdossier/</path>
si ma mémoire est bonne.
Et ainsi mettre des images pour les sous-dossiers en eux-même (action, aventure, rpg, etc... ou USA, Europe, Japon, Homebrew, Hack, etc...) Apres ce n'est peut être pas facile vu que les programmes de scrap fonctionnent en reconnaissant des extensions.

Aussi y a t'il un moyen de n'avoir que les images mix dans "downloaded_images" pour recalbox? J'ai trouvé une parade en créant un petit fichier batch avec:

del *boxart_arrm.png
del *cartridge_arrm.png
del *screenshot_arrm.png
del *wheel_arrm.png
del *.mp4

pour ne garder que les fichiers *mix_arrm.png pour ensuite recharger le système dans arrm afin qu'il détecte que des fichiers ont disparus et qu'il clean automatiquement la gamelist (sans oublier de la sauvegarder)

Sinon bonne continuation et un gros gg pour ce super programme qui pour moi est le plus complet: scraper, éditer, mixer soit même ses propres images ! bref un must-have !

ps: je ne comprend pas pourquoi le post de ce programme n'est pas épinglé... si jamais un modo passe par ici... ce programme le mérite largement

@floppyfred pour n'avoir que l'image Mix, avant de scraper, il te faut désactiver le mode 4 images : onglet 'Options générales' , bouton 'Extra Tag' et désactiver le mode 4 images. Tu n'auras plus qu'une seule image.:)

@floppyfred pour ton histoire de sous dossier c jouable. Mettre une image du nom du dossier à la racine. Et lors de écriture du gamelist.xml générer XML du folder. Je m en occupe pour la version +2. Merci pour ta suggestion

@floppyfred J'ai pu mettre en place ton système de sous dossier avec icone
en fait ca marche ainsi :

\recalbox\share\roms\nes\Mario <- dossier dans lequel tu mets tes roms
pour que l'image apparaissent il faut que tu déposes une image du même nom que le dossier

\recalbox\share\roms\nes\Mario\Mario.png

Il est peut être plus judicieux de mettre les dossiers avec un '-' devant histoire qu'ils apparaissent en tête de liste.
Du coup ca donnerait ceci :
\recalbox\share\roms\nes- Mario
\recalbox\share\roms\nes\Mario- Mario.png

Lors de l'écriture du gamelist, il détecte les répertoires valides (ceux ayant une image du même nom) et crée en fin de fichier gamelist les dossiers <folder> adéquates.

Je suis en train de scraper 1000 roms Mame, et si ca ne plante pas, je te ferai passer en private l éxecutable de la dernière version.

La personnalisation des sous-dossiers fonctionne très bien!
Idéal pour trier les jeux par genre ou par continent avec de belles images pour chaque genre/continent !
Déjà dit, mais pour les nouveaux venus: c'est probablement le meilleur logiciel dans son genre !

The customization of subfolders works great !
Great for sorting games by type or by continent with nice images for each type/continent !

Details about customization of subfolders with image and description

Example:
folder : \\recalbox\share\roms\neogeo\- Metal Slug

It will be necessary to put the image relative to the folder with the same name as the folder .png.

Example:
\\recalbox\share\roms\neogeo\- Metal Slug\- Metal Slug.png

The image is mandatory to take this operation into account

You can also put a description of the folder (optional) in a text file (.txt) with the same name as the folder:

Example :

\\recalbox\share\roms\neogeo\- Metal Slug\- Metal Slug.txt

Of course, your Metal slug roms have to go in this directory : \\recalbox\share\roms\neogeo\- Metal Slug

This information (folder) will be written at the end of the gamelist.xml file when saving the gamelist.
In the example, I put a hyphen in front of the directory name so that it appears at the top of the list, but it is not required

Petite précision avec la personnalisation des sous-dossiers: Recalbox les customise automatiquement avec des images des jeux inclus dans ces même sous-dossiers.
Nexusone13 m'a confirmé que ca fonctionne bien avec Batocera.
Et personnellement, cela a fonctionné avec retropie mais je n'ai pas testé avec les toutes dernières versions.

A little precision about the customization of the subfolders: Recalbox automatically customizes them with images of games included in these same subfolders.
Nexusone13 has confirmed that it works well with Batocera.

• Creation of a 'Temporary gamelist' checkbox in the 'Gamelist options' tab which allows to create a 'gamelist_tempo.xml' file during the progression of the scrape in the directory of the scraped system. So after a crash of the application, the next launch of a scrap on this system, a prompt asks you if you want to merge this file 'gamelist_tempo.xml' in the current 'gamelist.xml'. If an error occurs, check that the 'gamelist_tempo.xml' file contains the <gamelist> tags at the beginning of the file and </gamelist> at the end of the file.
• Keyword search is done on the description as well.
• Fix format of the dates to respect the format yyyymmddT000000 (request of Maromatze on the site Jujuvincebros.fr)
• faster scrape treatment
• When there is an error downloading an image, 2 more attempts are made.
• The log file is no longer in memory (this caused slowdowns on big scrape). Now the log is written in the "system" \ scrape_log.txt file. So during a crash, the log file is always searchable
