Solved ROMs do not transfer over...
-
Hey, guys, I got quite the problem.
I set up Recalbox and everything seems to be working except the transfering of ROMs. I managed to get my GBA games on there just fine via the web interface, but when i tried SNES, N64 and PSX games, it didn't work. The files seem to transfer over (the loading bars fill up), but as soon as the transfer is complete, the games just vanish. Can anyone help? I got all the necessary BIOS files installed, just the ROMs won't work for some reason...
I tried both, wifi and ethernet and can't find any clues to what's going wrong in the log either.EDIT: I transfered some SNES ROMs before, which worked fine, so I'm even more confused, seing it won't work now...

@MossiTheMoosay what extension type have your roms which do not work?
-
The web manager is not what i'd recommend to upload roms. Rather try the ususal windows network shares
-
@lackyluuk .zip for SNES and N64, .iso for PSX

@MossiTheMoosay reade the _readme.txt on every system's folder. You can't use .zip with n64. And as mentioned before, use the samba share or WinSCP to transfer your roms. The web manager can't handle big file (i.e psx isos, etc) either.

@paradadf Thanks a bunch! For N64 simply extracting the files worked and I'm currently waiting for the isos to transfer over via WinSCP, which takes ages (!!!) and I'll be testing the new games soon.

@MossiTheMoosay for isos I'd rather use this method:

Am I missing something here?
If you have Windows 8 or 10, just press the windows key & E to bring up explorer, click on network down the bottom left, select recalbox and go into the relevant rom folder and drag your files over - job done.
Done this with every setup , and have no problems with huge files - got over 70 PSX images on my install. -
That's the network share substring was talking about.
