Taking a look at the medafen_psx_hw documentation, that is the new PSX Core for X86, there is no evidence that this core supports CD-rom reading.

@voljega I've searched these forums high and low for support on RecalBoxOS x64 on AMD hardware and this is one of two post that even mentions Ryzen.

I noticed that on my odroid xu4, too.

But as stated by @MegaTimX it would be an easy work around to make both image and video either black or white.

It would be more pleasing to the eye to have a black "boot" image imho. Most consoles use black or at least dark colors. Especially on LCD displays with a high brightness it looks generally better to display something dark rather then bright white.

@substring Yeah, no problem, I just wanted to keep it at max anyway. I just thought that the games had no sound since one of my cables from my TV to my sound system had become unplugged. In-app volume settings are probably only necessary on hand-held/arcade devices anyway. Thanks for the help.

@megatimx it will happen with kodi 17 i think. Q1 2018

@megatimx I just ordered a new controller, maybe something was wrong with that one. It should get here in a few hours thanks to the wonders of Amazon.
