3D Printed front ports, to resemble the original Playstation. Functional power button and always on system LED. Unfortunately I just can't get bluetooth working on RecalBox with the PS4 controller, no matter what. Not sure if it an XU4 exclusive problem.
This is my first SBC emulation build.

As a young child I played NES, as a pre-teen I played SNES, as a teen I played PSX. I've been emulating the classics since the late 90s, I've been building/modding PCs since the late 90s.
I am currently a PC gamer, but I love the console classics.

RE: How is x86 support?posted in Recalbox General@paradadf thanks, just searched the blog using ctrl+f. Should've thought of that before. I may have a sexy Dreamcast mod coming up then.

How is x86 support?posted in Recalbox GeneralHow good is Recalbox support for x86? I can't seem to find any information on it. Is it still being updated?

Recalbox PC 64 bit.. Can it play PSX games straight from a CD rom?posted in Emulator Arcade/PC/ConsoleI highly doubt it, since it's probably a rare request. But I am considering making a system overhaul mod of a dead Dreamcast that will contain a disk drive(Although not BD-Rom unfortunately, since they don't exist outside of the console). I've never heard of it being done with Recalbox/Retropie so I am not sure if it is a feature built into either of the programs.
I remember doing it on Bleem years ago, and maybe ePSXE on PC if my memory is correct but haven't done it since.

RE: Odroid XU4 is way, way better at emulation than the Rpi 3.posted in Your discoveriesLooking forward to the update. The only better option would be to put an itx or mini-stx(preferably) PC into a console. I was considering it, but it would cost a few hundred dollars to get a decent system. The XU4 has a good price to power ratio.

Odroid XU4 is way, way better at emulation than the Rpi 3.posted in Your discoveriesI got two Rpi 3s to gift to family members, and while testing PSP games I was shocked at how poorly the Rpi 3 handles the system. I looked online and see people overclocking their RPi3s, buying heatsinks and fans to try and run PSP.
Why not just invest in an Odroid XU4 or XU4Q? At a cost of around $65(30 more than an RPi3) No need to even overclock and you'll be crushing PSP and N64, even playing some dreamcast.
I really appreciate the fact that RecalBox is developing for the XU4, and I'm looking forward to future releases.

Alternating splash video and white boot screen causing strobe-like effect at boot.posted in Recalbox GeneralWhen I boot, most of the time there is a blinding strobe-light sort of effect caused by the white Recalbox(ES) logo and the recalboxintro.mp4 video. I understand that the video is read only and cannot be edited, however, i cannot locate the white image. A simple solution would be to screenshot recalboxintro.mp4 and replace the white Recalbox(ES) boot logo with the screenshot, so even if the images alternate it won't be black/white, and may not be noticable. Using an XU4, and whatever the latest release is for that. Here are the two clashing screens.

RE: Odroid XU4 SYSTEM VOLUME keeps resetting to 0% instantly.posted in Recalbox General@substring Yeah, no problem, I just wanted to keep it at max anyway. I just thought that the games had no sound since one of my cables from my TV to my sound system had become unplugged. In-app volume settings are probably only necessary on hand-held/arcade devices anyway. Thanks for the help.

RE: Odroid XU4 SYSTEM VOLUME keeps resetting to 0% instantly.posted in Recalbox General@rockaddicted Yes, correct. Thank you. I double checked and the problem was with the wiring of my surround sound system.
