if you don't intend to contribute to recalbox in the "official way" (which means makeing packages, configgen etc ...), most of this work will be just for a few people who know linux enough to follow your tutorial. But most of the community won't benefit from it

Hi, nice job !
... but as @Substring said it would be a huge benefit for the community if would please share a "friendly newbie" tutorial on a dedicated post, as @acris did for Pico8 here.
Because watching your video is fun, but I cannot do more right now...
Thanks for sharing -
And why not add this in the new version of the recalbox? Idem to pico8?
-
@poumtaq not for CD32 but for amiga 500 & 1200 https://github.com/Voljega/amiga4recalbox
-
@azvarel pico8 needs a 15$ licence per user
-
@voljega Perfect example of sharing, thank you !

At the moment i have no tutorial .. i just hacked some scripts and binaries together and wanted to show the current state of my "researchwork".
I have no linux skills, most of my work is based on the excellent tutorial from voljega.
All i did was replacing the uae binary against amiberry´s version and modifying two scripts from voljega.Surely, if all work is done, I would like to make a "how to" with a "ready to use" package.
But there are still so many questions left from my side ....Is there a tutorial for emustation where i can read something about the variables.
What´s "$1 $2 $3 $4" standing for?
And how to use the remapper i have noticed in emustation scripts for other emulators?At the moment i am only at a scriptkiddie level.
-
@Ratte $1 $2 stands for parametes 1 and 2 a command is execued with.
I would be interested if you could give me the additionnal .so library you added to make amiberry gui displayed.
on zippyshare, or somewhere else

@korni just curious... did you draw those or just took some images from internet?
If you did draw them, it would be better to share the vector graphics instead. And by the way, your download link will expire within 7 days, so no really a solution. -
I draw the console myself. The CD I have edited from the Recalbox Theme. The controller I have from the Internet...
If it is problematic, I can paint the controller myself.
-
@korni the best would be to have only vector graphics like every other system has on the official theme.
-
@paradadf I am working on it.
-
Does this work in raspberry pi 2? or only pi3?
-
@pillabichos I made all my tests on Pi2 so yes it works on it, should work on pi3 too
If you use it and have any problems please use the issues on the project github****

Forgot to mention in this thread that my solution is now using Amiberry and exit and gui button are configured on controller using button 3 and 4 : on ps3/4 controller this is start and R3, on xbox controller Y and X
-
Does this mean that if the "image" file is replaced with vector graphics, this is effectively good to go and can be incorporated into 4.1 beta?
Is there anything still to be done that is stopping this being "signed off" as finished? -
@RustyMG Adding an image to a theme is one thing (rather easy), adding the emulator is a much different task that won't be done for 4.1
-
@Substring
What?!
Oh man....
I moved from Retropie to Recalbox as the documentation said the C64 and Amiga were coming in v4.1.
Pity. But, I understand and appreciate that some things at first look straightforward, but the unexpected problems and issues that arise soon lead to serious delays.
Isn't the cd32 emu at least implementable though? It all seems pretty much done, and now even exits back to the menu?
Either way, keep up the good work guys - it's appreciated.
