Yes that's why i'm asking if it changes anything on 1080p with the new 3b+ ^^, I'm playing DragonBall Fighter Z and it's not the same in 720p ^^. I have to find a solution to play it in 1080p without input lags. If you have some idea even with something else than recalbox 😛

Out of curiosity: Does this squashfs feature will work somehow like a switch firmware in the future, having 2 "base images" and booting the newest one or the backup if the user wants to change it? Example:
