Hi everyone wondering if there is any documentation or anyone that has had experience using a adafruit PiTFT screen and rasberry pi 3 with recalbox?

Please give more informations, we cannot answer such a fuzzy question : size of the screen is a good start!

Maybe this might help? pointing to adafruit's pitft as well as the waveshare screens.

Sorry for the late replay haven't seen this post in some time. I was looking to use a small 3 inch screen that Ada fruit uses they teach on how to install for Retropie but Im not a fan of retropie too much I like recalbox better and was looking for a way to install a 5 inch screen as well from Adafruit.

You can get same and cheaper 5" hdmi screen from banggood http://www.banggood.com/fr/5-Inch-800-x-480-HDMI-TFT-LCD-Touch-Screen-For-Raspberry-PI-2-Model-B-B-A-B-p-1023438.html. Of course HDMI is easier to install on recalbox...

@ian57 is there anything new in 4.1 stable regarding the implementation of tft screens? More sizes accepted? Less config for the user? Thanks 🙂

@lackyluuk, in 4.1 RB is prepared for waveshare 3.2 and 3.5 support (overlays and config in recalbox.conf) using fbcp program. It is really easy to make these

Geekwrom HD 3.5 Inch TFT Display Shield 800x480 is also supported see wiki page here https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Mini-How-To-(EN) in audio video section
