Unsolved Video Output on laptop?

Hi I have a laptop running recalbox which has a VGA port on it
I also have a TV with an HDMI port on it

I tried linking them using a VGA to HDMI converter but nothing happend. could you please help me

@clevertop most chances it would work, so lany people do it on the pi at least

Probably you should try first if there's any output from VGA only (no HDMI adapter). Maybe with a monitor or other tv if you can.

Also, try to stop ES via SSH with "/etc/init.d/S31emulatiostation stop" and start ES with "startx". See the verbose if there's any info about resolution or something.
