Solved Pi 3 doesn't boot up with samsung sd card
-
Hello everyone !
So I just received my brand new Pi 3 and wanted to install recalbox on it ! So I took the only sd card I have at the moment (this one and according to this list it is compatible up to 3.3) and followed the instruction here, which says that if you have an SD card bigger than 64Gb you should use "MiniTool Partition Wizard" to format it in fat32, so I formated it using the software, downloaded recalbox 4.0 extracted it on the SD card and nothing shows on the screen and only the power LED is on on the pi ... the activity DOESN'T blink ... so I also tried 3.3 beta 16 (as advised on the list above) : Same result !
So I tried other OSs : Retropie : OK, NOOBS : OK, openElec : OK but this version : NOOBS Lite 2.0 + Recalbox v4.0.0 + OSMC 2016.10-2 (KODI 16.1) (which is a custom image with NOOB recalbox and OSMC mixed together doesn't work either)
So I don't know what to do anymore ...
I've heard that if someone with a pi 3 does an img of their os I could possibly boot on it, would it work ?
Anyway thanks for your help and time

Some news here : I've found another mSD card this one which is said to be 100% compatible but I didn't get any luck with this one either ... nothing expect for openelec and retropie is working ...
I tried to make img file out of the files from the .zip of : noobs, recalbox 4.0 and the weird version I linked but nothing is working .... I'm desperate ...

You must format the partition as primary and NOT logical when you use MiniTool Partition Wizard.

we explained everything here :https://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwihhu_R--HRAhWH1hoKHWEeBQQQtwIIPjAF&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dhl59A3FTK-U&usg=AFQjCNHqNKHDIGH6oJU17-cfyuUUAz1Hpw
samsung cards don't work well with noobs below 2.x (2.1 works ok in my case, haven,'t tried 2.0)
