      How could now get progressive scan mode ( 240p) with composite cable on crt???

      Ok, in previous versions of recalbox it could be done by adding line:
      sdtv_mode=16 ( instead default sdtv_mode=1 , as interlace) in recalbox-user-config.txt

      So, when i do it now (sdtv_mode=16), i've got wrong resolutions:

      Have issue with 240p option...

      I've still use RPi4 with crt tv connected via composite cable, and it worked as default 720x480 - interlaced 60hz.

      But if i go to recalbox's main menu\advanced settings\resolutions and choose there 720x240 - progressive 60hz, then I've got wrong picture - more stretched vertically in menu and too narrowed vertically in games wih overlays for 16x9 tv ( I've use standard old 4x3 crt tv).

      How could to fix it?

      Why progressive scan video output stopped correctly work on recalbox since 9.xxx version?

      If use sdtvmode=1 ( just regular ntsc) in recalbox-user-config.txt, all work fine (as earlier and still have some screen blinking), but if use sdtvmode=16 (ntsc with progressive) we've got half screen image:

      At earlier recalbox versions 8\7 it's worked...

      update:
      sorry, i've used wrong file... ( and i can't edit first post of topic)
      and full command was:

      python3 tweakvec.py --preset PAL60
      

      But now, it's said:

    • tweakvec on new recalbox 9.0 pulstar problem

      Hello everyone!

      I've still use RPi4 with crt tv connected via composite cable.

      In previous versions of recalbox i've used TweakVec to fix ntsc' colors and get PAL60 mode.

      I've used WinSCP to put tweakvec.py file to sd card's share partition, then used terminal and just write command:

      tweakvec.py --preset PAL60
      

      After that i've got true colors and 60fps/
      It's worked on Recalbox 7, 7.1, 7.1.1, 8.0, 8.1-electron.

      But now, on 9.0-pulstar it's doesn't work!

      After entering command on the terminal i've get message:

      sdtv_mode=16 - ntsc with progressive.

      If choose sdtv_mode=1 (simple NTSC)the image is alight.
      And only port of dukstation has this problem with progressive...

      Or this question need ask author of original duckstation?

      Well, I'm just want to know about this option in recalbox crt options.

      I've use pi4 with composite cable connected to crt.
      And when i've turn this option on nothin happened when games start ( about select rate)

      I'm running recalbox on raspberry at NTSC mode (sdtv_mode=0 parameter) 60hz\fps. But in Pal (sdtv_mode=2) - the colors are better, but games runs at 50 fps with slowdowns.

      So, is it possible to start recalbox in PAL, but when games runs choose 60Hz \ 60fps??? ( another words, i'am talking about PL60)

      Yea, i know about tweakvec and i used it too.
      But i want to understood what this recalbox's option exactly for? ( Select game refresh rate at launch)

      Yes, i did, but it's not helped. I've already configurated Pi like at this instruction (except sdtv_mode=16, cause i need it). The problem exactly in progressive scan and how duckstation react on it only....

      not quite understood - got raspberry nearly 2 years ago... Use only recalbox and retropie on separated micro sd. So what is options Rspberry is changed in this case?

      So, i find out that it depend from sdtv signal. If I've stay SDTV_mode=1 in recalbox-user-config.txt the image in duckststion is at fullscreen.

      But I've always use progressive scan - SDTV_mode=16 ( cause without it my crt tv is flicked and blinked om the blue color. So i've use progressive and all fine)

      And in progressive only duckstation emulator resize image on top quarter of the screen

      Next question is about gamepad's rumble. - How activate?))

      As I understand, for the rumble response Controller Backend parameter (at least so on PC-version). As default it stayed on SDL. It's worked, but without any vibrations.
      As soon as I choose Xinput there my xbox-controller began vibrate correctly ( on stand alone duckstation at PC).

      But at raspberry recalbox I've could choose only SDL, NONE and EVDEV ( when i choose EVDEV all controls is switch off - gamepad or keyboard is no respond). And there is no xinput option ( in duckstation emulator).....

      Please, don't send me to duckstation or Raspberry developers ( cause they want discussed about their original products and not reacalbox ports)

      Recalbox is your firmware for their hardware. And file recalbox-user-config.txt, where listed only "uncomment for composite PAL" and no one else, is yours....
      I mean, maybe it would be appropriate to specify in more detail there all the relevant information on the case inside this file? (since raspberry is the first in the list in the download section)

      Why again never said or write that boot recalbox on rb4 via composite we need:

      Firs open recalbox\config.txt file, find the lines

      [pi4]
      arm_64bit=1
      temp_soft_limit=70
      dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
      include crt/recalbox-crt-config.txt
      
      

      and change it to dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d

      [pi4]
      arm_64bit=1
      temp_soft_limit=70
      dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d
      include crt/recalbox-crt-config.txt
      
      

      Then we need go to recalbox\recalbox-user-config.txt
      And change sdtv_mode=2 - for NTSC
      or
      sdtv_mode=2 - for PAL

      after that, put the lines there:

      hdmi_force_hotplug=0
      hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1
      enable_tvout=1
      
      

      ..... and only after that we've got picture and sound on our TV

      @alvin still about fullscreen...

      • in previous release of recalbox (8.0) fullscreen in duckstation worked correctly, but was bug with controls and key mapping (Disabled gamepad in duckststion )

      Now controls work, problem with fullscreen

      I don't suppose that is Stenzek by himself responsible for it as developer of duckstation - probably people who make port of duckstation to recalbox know about it better as they recalbox's developers...

      I need to understand which parameter respond for fullscreen in settings.ini

      What, no one is in the subject?

      Or maybe in the blind to pick correct setting in UI - i run duckstation on PC - duckstation-nogui-x64-ReleaseLTCG to try to find this option tweak to try to apply it by analogy in recalbox...

      ...but so far unsuccessfully

      Any ideas?😕
