@RustyMG yes, in fact, I did read the documentation. Although what I was experiencing involved nothing that I read, hence my question. Maybe hold back on the attitude, people don't ask questions if they know the answers....
Anyway, I thought I downloaded the 0.78 set, but clearly not. Do you have a link of the best place to get them from? (and yes I will be googling it again in the mean time)

I have an Edimax EW-7811UTC (AC600) wifi dongle that I am trying get to work on my recalbox setup.
I am using an RPi1 with recalbox 4.0.2. I have turned on WIFI and added the SSID and password in the settings menu. Checked the recalbox.conf and all look as it should.
So, I have gone into the console and used the #lsusb command, and it see's the dongle.
I am at the extent of what I know to do, could someone please offer any suggests or direction to how to sole this?

EDIT: OMG that was just the trick I needed, I have solved my issue and both players are working perfectly. Thanks for your suggestions @voljega they were truly helpful ..

OK, so my hotkey is mapped as per the Keyboard encoder configuration (EN) that was linked above (currently Key_V, it tried KEY_3 but that didn't work).
I have the hotkey connected to 1SW8 on the iPAC2, is this correct?

@Substring thanks I found that previously after I had changed to gamepad mode and was hoping I didnt have to remap again.
Anyway all done and both player stations are working.
Just having issues with getting the hotkey working now, which seems to ge a common problem also.
