WIFI issue + RPi1 + Edimax AC600

I have an Edimax EW-7811UTC (AC600) wifi dongle that I am trying get to work on my recalbox setup.

I am using an RPi1 with recalbox 4.0.2. I have turned on WIFI and added the SSID and password in the settings menu. Checked the recalbox.conf and all look as it should.

So, I have gone into the console and used the #lsusb command, and it see's the dongle.

I am at the extent of what I know to do, could someone please offer any suggests or direction to how to sole this?

Clearly I have a unique problem ....

@crimsonblaed Please have a look on this Wiki page. Then you would see that your dongle is not working with recalbox. Take one which is supported
