I updated Recalbox, on my Raspberry Pi 3, to version 4.0.0 the other night and somehow the entire system lost sound. The OS music is gone as well as all in-game sound. Has anyone else had this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

do you have anything USB that could look like a sound card ?

I had this issue during my last boot with recalboxOS 4.0.0-beta4 (no idea why, never done that before)

After updating to recalboxOS 4.0.0, the issue was gone... But yes, not a single sound from ES or any Emulator.

This is different. You upgraded to an alpha build of 4.1 which doesn't have all configurations finished. The kernel has been updated in 4.1 and the config.txt needs an additional parameter for audio output.

I still can't seem to get the sound working. Recalbox was functioning just fine before the 4.0.0 update.

@WerdsMada Are you sure to don't have an USB device with sound "options", like a keyboard with microphone, or an USB dock with input/output sound ?

Can you start this script /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-support.sh, and give us the generated file present in this folder : /recalbox/share/saves

I figured out the issue. The problem was definitely on my end. Apparently my power supply was dying. I just picked up a new one and now the sound is back.
