Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard, Recalbox 8, RPI4
-
Hi,
Yesterday I've installed the latest recalbox release, but I cannot connect my logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard. When searching for it, it will get found, and also says "connected", but the LED on the keyboard keeps blinking.
I also do not get any "PIN" or similar to enter on the keyboard (at least on the PC I always need to enter some random PIN when pairing).Any advice?

@karlo8321 Try this:
https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/24453/how-to-delete-or-clean-reset-all-found-controllers/6Does the keyboard have a reset button (it's usually a very small button that you can only press with a clip)?

@zing Hi, no it does not have a reset button. The "clean" of all bluetooth is not neccessary as this is the only bluetooth device I have tried to connect. Now i switched off ERTM and then pressed some random keys while "connecting" and it worked. But after each reboot of the pi it is not connected anymore.

I found that also my Xbox One wireless controller is not connecting - seems to be a more global issue for me. Anyone using a rPi4 with its internal bluetooth?

It looks like there really is a bug:

Is there any news on this topic so maybe when the bug gets fixed?
I tried with an external bluetooth dongle and had exaclty the same issue. -
@karlo8321 To get rid of my BT problem - too low BT range with Pi 4B and/or RB 8 - I've tried 3 different USB BT dongles that worked fine in past with Pi 3B. None of them is working at all with Pi 4B and/or RB 8. Not any bluetooth device is found, as soon I connect one of these dongles.
I hope it's just a software issue, as I would prefer using the interneral BT of Pi 4B anyway. I've never had a range issue in the long past, just used BT dongles with Pi3 B (non +) because of the bad latency. With Pi 3B+ everything was fine. I switched to RB 8.0.x in parallel with the switch to Pi 4B, so I can't tell if hardware (Pi 4B) or software (RB 8.0.x) causes the range issue. Anyway, the fact that my USB dongles do not work at all should be caused by software.

Two years later and I am having similar issues with my pi 5 and so if my friend.

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled, forget the Logitech K380 device, then reconnect. Confirm keyboard compatibility with Recalbox. Verify adequate battery power and consider updating the keyboard firmware. Contact Logitech support if issues persist.
