      Hello,

I've searched through the forum and can't find an answer to this specific question.

My understanding is when I save to the memory card (e.g. in PS1), I need to then exit the game with Select+Start to make the new memory card state persistent.

Is there any way around this or to do it automatically?

The problem is that I may be playing a game for 3-4 hours making various saves without exiting. Then if the emulator crashes (in which case I can't
exit it normally), all these saves are lost.

I would appreciate any insight on this.

      Kind regards,
      Stathis

@ezav the emulator should behave like the original console. No need to restart anything to make in-game saves work or similar.
I’d try on a different console (like snes) and check if your saves are stored. Otherwise the problem must be elsewhere.
