@x925 Usually this happens when the system is not shutting down correctly, are you shutting down correctly, through the menu?
Solved it seems universal scraper wasn't properly killing ES, after using /etc/init.d/S31emulationstation stop, I was able to scrape just fine
Fixed with "fsck /dev/mmcblk0p2".
Change mmcblk0p2 to your actual userdata partition. And use it with care... Some data may be lost.
