Wii Remote + Sensor Bar - Will it work on 4.1???

This post is deleted! -
@miso117 I bought a bar today on Amazon and will test it out and let everyone know if this works or not.

Hello @miso117
are you link of product , sorry for my english.no one has tested on recalbox yet, thank you for your contribution

I got the Wii Remote Sensor bar and have tried to connect it to both the R-Pi and a secondary USB on my TV to get it power. It doesn't look like the tracking is working, but the other buttons work, as it's mapped as a Bluetooth controller.
Anyone have any thoughts?

@acris Thank you!
I bought this bar: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBC8BHI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also have this bar but it was not connected when I did the dump, the first one linked was: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HZWEB74/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I can test that if needed too. Issue with this one was It would map as Keyboard (based on mode) it would allow me to map buttons, but in any games the button mapping was not there. I stopped used it out of frustration and went back to the Bluetooth + USB Sensor bar above.
Here is the archive dump:

The controller pairs OK and everything, but the only way I can get the crosshair to move is using the directional pad... I have seen in other posts not to remap via Emulation Station config, but that was just for Dolphin/Wii games. I'm on a Pi so thats not happening...
I want to be able to use this for MAME shooters, like T2 Judgement Day.
Thank you!

@miso117 UPDATE:
Selecting ADVMAME as the Emulator for T2 Judgement Day proves the sensor bar is receiving the input, I see the Wiimote X/Y axis move on the calibration screen, so I know the bar is working!!!!! New problem is the other buttons are not mapped anymore, on my main controller (XBOX 360 wireless controller Player 1 and Wiimote Player 2).
You can see the "calibration" working on the X/Y axis for both controller but no buttons are mapped anymore, you cannot HOME+Start out of the game either.
I saw someone else post a similar issue where in ADVMAME the buttons are no longer mapped: https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/10987/can-t-play-any-game-in-advmame/8
I think it's related.

@miso117 I’d wait for a retroarch b*mp before trying this out. Check:
https://forums.libretro.com/t/how-to-configure-mouse-as-light-gun-and-light-gun-as-mouse/8970/90 -
@paradadf Yeah, if this was in the next b*mp for Liberto it would be nice, it looks like ADVMAME has an issue with button mapping, but cross-hairs work on both controllers. Maybe an issue with ADVMAME not picking up retroarch mappings? It is odd that the joystick/mouse type controlls are there but not buttons.

What emulators support this? I have a dolphin bar and wiimote I connected to my PC about a year ago. As a mouse doing normal PC functions I'd say it works better than expected, but once you load an emulator and set the emu to have your mouse be your lightgun it goes all sorts of funky. Mine was super shaky and acted like it was magnetically drawn to the edge of the screen. I never tried on the Pi because I figured if it's not sorted on PC it's not sorted on Pi.
Have you gotten a bar and mote to work with any emu outside of dolphin emu? I don't think it'll work even if you got the rpi and sensor bar working together because the emus themselves bug it out. In my experience anyway.
Best of luck bud, I'm rooting for you.

@miso117 the next version will indeed have retroarch and all libretro emulators b*mped, so keep tuned! There might be configurations to be made though.

@marchegiano ADVMAME as the Emulator for T2 Judgement Day proves the sensor bar is receiving the input, I see the Wiimote X/Y axis move on the calibration screen, so I know the bar is working, but there is a button mapping issue, tracked in another thread, specific to Retroarch not passing control mappings to ADVMAME. So we're in a holding pattern.
In the short term, I am going to get a keyboard hooked up and see if I can manually remap the buttons.

@miso117 advancemame is a standalone emulator, nothing to do with Retroarch. I posted some details on a topic regarding advancemame where games inputs would be totally messed up when playing 2 players
-
@substring Ok, so assumption here is I need to map controllers separately / on my own for ADVMAME then, correct?
-
@miso117 or wait that i fix this darn bug
-
@substring Understood! Thank you sir!
-
B*mping this topic as I see this is still an issue in the latest release.
Any thoughts on how to get this controller mapping issue resolved?
-
@miso117 sadly no. There is a bug in advancemame regarding controls, doesn't look lik it's fixed yet
