Playstation - 4 player support!

In an one year old thread someone of the dev team said RECALBOX 4.1 would support 4 player Playstation 1 gaming.
I tried it out today but it doesn't work. Should i enable something to make it work if not was it even implemented in RECALBOX 4.1?

I am not familiar with it but I think you can activate "multitap" in the retroarch settings (During game press Hotkey + B). It's deactivated by default I think.
Not all games support it so you have to check this first somehow with googling
Some games even refuse to start if multitap is active but not supported by the game.

To be more specific:
Hotkey + B (during the game)
Quick menu
Options
Set the pads you're going to use at Standard
And set multitap(s) at enabled

One last question, why 2 multitap settings?

@farbkasten because most of the games in the original hardware used the multitap in the second player, but some use the first instead or even both at the same time.
