@monsieurlefou What Raspberry do you use?
how does your etc/modules.conflook like? Do you have any other modules loaded than the internal sound card (bcm2835)? Or did you remove the internal one?

It seems that your card is loaded.

Hi and thanks for your help!

        My PI is a PI3
        My etc/modules.conf looks alike:

        snd_bcm2835
        uinput
        usbhid

        I don't remove anything

@monsieurlefou It's the same as for me. According to Hifiberry it does not matter if the soundcard is not in modules.conf when the dtoverlay=hifiberry_dacplus is set and the dtparam=audio=on is removed from config.txt. But I don't know exactly how it works in recalbox

My config.txt seems ok, dtoverlay=hifiberry_dacplus and dtparam=audio=on removed.

The command amixer returns this (it seems the voulume is set to 0, isn't it?):

@monsieurlefou You should leave dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus in your config.txt

I confirm that dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus is in my config.txt.
                Just dtparam=audio=on removed

                I don't change anything since the maj 4.0.2 => 4.1

                Thanks

Looking at dragu's screenshot, there are 3 kernel modules that are loaded along with the hifiberry.

What also happened with 4.0.x -> 4.1 is a kernel b*mp from 4.1 to 4.4. That's the only lead I have for now + quite some changes regarding audio volumes (because of that DARN x86 version)

                      I don't understand.

After trying change audio settings in the audio recalbox menu to auto, to hifiberry, to auto (hacking the audio setting...), the sound is appears wihout i can understand what was the matter.....

Strange, something wrong but i cannot identify the problem.

                      Excuse my poor english...

do you have the soundcard available in the sound settings in ES? For me it does not show up 😞

You want to say that you modified recalbox.conf

                          into

                          # ------------ C - Audio ------------ #

                          ## Set the audio device (auto, hdmi, jack, hifiberry)

                          audio.device=hifiberry
                          ## Set system volume (0..100)

Yes i have hifiberry dacplus soundcard in the sound settings in ES.

After reboot sound starts only after manipulate joystick to navigate in menu (controler xin mo). If i don't touch controler no music (??)

I'm not sure (sorry) but I remember that i have already the card in the sound settings BEFORE modify the file config.txt (it surprises me) but sounds doesn't work.

On my another pi3 with same recalbox without sound card sound start on splash screen on boot (?)

                            X-files???

The soud device selection in ES does more than just editing the recalbox.conf. It also sets some parameters for ALSA.

To everyone : just a few words regarding what you'd believe to be strange but may not be:

                                          • the splash video is played through omxplayer which doesn't care about soundcards. Just jack and hdmi
                                          • changing a sound device in ES woumd not change where the music is output until a reboot, wheras emulators would work straight away after. That is a lumitation of alsa not being able of dynamically changing the output device of an already running process
                                          • we know about that bug in ES where music would start after player input

@monsieurlefou as your dac works, can you make a support archive ? http://recalbox/help
