I just setup a remote control according this manual: https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Infra-red-remote-control-on-the-Recalbox-(EN)
It worked and with the command "irw" I can see what I have pressed.
BUT, if I open Kodi, nothing happens. I can press what I want, but there is no feedback in Kodi.
SOLUTION: If you rename your remote control, be sure that you rename it also in the Lircmap.xml
