Is there any way i can install the older "fba_libretro" on the latest Recalbox?
Forking the project, modifying the build scripts to use your older emulator, and building your own recalbox. Imho, updating your romsets to benefit from all the improvements of latest FB seems a saner idea.
Also, with less than 1% of romsets getting redumped every year, i'm wondering how old can be your current romsets for none of them to work with current version. It feels unlikely that your issue would be about romset versions. -
@barbudreadmon My Vanilla Pi3 Recalbox version is from 2018/07/13, Version 18.07.13. Kinda dated by now but worked great with all my current files.

18.07.13
then 99% of your romsets should be ok, and your issue is elsewhere

Hello
Fbneo = fba libretro
this emulator is evolving and the romset needs to be updated
you need to scan your romset with clmamepro and dat/xml file in /bios/fbneo
folder.
https://recalbox.gitbook.io/tutorials/utility/rom-management/clrmamepro-tutorial-how-to-check-your-roms-versions
put roms on fbneo folder.^^ What's that program do? Can it "update" unplayable roms to be playable or something?

Recalbox 7.0.1 requires Final Burn romset version 0.2.96.71 (or 0.2.97.44? correct me if I wrong) in the directory "/recalbox/share/bios/fba" you will find a dat file to use with a rom manager to check the status of the roms, manually download missing files, and rebuild the romset according to dat file info. I suggest to use Romcenter, is easiest rom manager to do this, there are several video tutorials on youtube about how to use it.

fbneo 0.2.97.44 is required

0.2.9.71 is pifba , standalone emulator (fba folder) old romset.

@Pitch64 OK! Then @SkullGrin needs DAT file for dataset 0.2.97.44.
FB Neo 0.2.97.44 (All arcade)
https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo/raw/master/dats/FinalBurn Neo (ClrMame Pro XML%2C Arcade only).datFB Neo 0.2.97.44 (NeoGeo only)
https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo/raw/master/dats/FinalBurn Neo (ClrMame Pro XML%2C Neogeo only).datAll dats for other systems supported by FB Neo 0.2.97.44
https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo/tree/master/datsWith this dat files and the help of a Rom Manager program (like Romcenter or Romulus... or ClrMAME, but is more complicated) it's possible check and rebuild the romset to work in 0.297.44 version (and downloading missing rom files to complete missing rom files if it's needed).

FB Neo 0.2.97.44 (NeoGeo only)
https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo/raw/master/dats/FinalBurn Neo (ClrMame Pro XML%2C Neogeo only).datI recommend using the dats stored on your recalbox, since they are guaranteed to 100% work with recalbox's version of FBNeo, unlike the "live" ones you linked that get some updates every few days.
Anyway, i'll repeat it : less than 2% of romsets from 2 years ago should have changed, so if the OP isn't lying when he says not a single game work anymore, then a romset issue seems very unlikely except if he is very unlucky. Or maybe he only uses FB for neogeo games : neogeo bios changed a bit, so i guess no neogeo game will work if the bios isn't updated.

A lot seem to work fine but, every so often i'll click on something and it won't. Also this recalbox build has weird bugs. Like deleted games remaining present in the list, even after updating list, restarting, etc. Also i can't seem to just copy & paste my games/gamelist/downloaded images from my older recalbox. This Newer Recalbox has trouble reading everything, some games not showing up, games showing up but images now missing, etc. Gahh!! I feel like i'd really have to set aside some time and put in some serious elbow grease to get everything good again, like on my older Recalbox set-up.
Anyway, how do you get PS2 games on 64-bit PC version of Recalbox? So far Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, and PSP are working Great at least.

I recommend not starting a topic by a lie next time...

Chill out and put your high horse back in the barn, not interested. And a lot of roms do work but.... a decent amount here & there DO NOT work, and that irks me. I put a TON of work into my older Recalbox build. On top of that, is the bugs present where the New Recalbox does'nt read my game information properly, doesn't display all the images properly, still displays games in the list that i've deleted, etc. It's not just a copy & paste thing. I'd really have to put some serious elbow grease into this new build, to bring all my stuff over and get it looking good again.
The recalbox image scraper for example, has always been hot garbage, if it even worked at all. I've spent countless hours on my build alone, just manually adding images and fixing stuff right. The thought of doing that all over again. because this new Recalbox won't read my stuff properly.... blehh.

You said no game worked while only some games didn't, that's called a lie, and that's making people like me lose time trying to troubleshoot a fake issue, which is totally disrespectful

It's called an exaggeration. Humans do it, welcome to humanity. And while many games do work, a decent amount here & there DEFINITLY DO NOT. Which irks me, because of all the time i had put into my older Recalbox build. Anyway, as i've detailed above, that's not my only problem. I also have issues with Recalbox such as gameslist NOT showing up properly, images not appearing, etc. It just seems like it wouldn't be a simple copy & paste to bring everything over from my older Recalbox. I'd really be looking at a lot of work to get everything looking good again.
Like i said above, i wish i could find an older 64-bit Pc Recalbox version. That would hopefully accept a simple copy & paste of my stuff.

Finished! Ok so the damage wasn't nearly as bad as i thought. Out of 700'ish games between Mame and Final Burn sections, 48 didn't work. And then there was a lot of strange name altering and missing images that made it look a lot worse.
No special fixes. I just bite the bullet and put in the effort to fix everything. Besides redownloading stuff, i also moved some things from Final Burn to Mame section. Due to mame having multiple emulator versions (Mame 2003, 2010, etc) for increased compatibility. Final Burn Neo only had the (1) emu running, and no selectable alternatives.
As for all the naming problems and image issues, i just manually went into the gameslist.XML and what not, and fixed it by hand. It was all a huge pain in the butt since everything works/looks fine on my Pi3 build, and all my files were just a copy & paste of that. Whatever, i just put in the work.
Other than that, the 64-bit Pc version of Recalbox is running nicely. Only other issue is, for systems that require a bios? When selecting a game a warning ALWAYS pops up, saying i don't have the bios required, and asking me if i want to continue. Even though the games load Perfectly everytime. Seems to do this for all systems that require a bios of any kind. I have all my bios in the proper spot, which is why my games load fine.
