I have a metal case on my Pi5, so the onboard BT only works on a very limited plane. If I angle the controller down it locks up on the last input until it gets back into range. So I bought a BT dongle. I keep searching for how to disable the onboard BT, but all I find are vague posts and "the onboard should work fine", so I'm kind of at a loss. Is there any step by step guide on how to disable the onboard bluetooth and enable the dongle?

Mystical Ninja Goemon - N64 Pi5
It's so close to being playable on Mupen64Plus Glide64MK2, Parallel, and Mupen64Plus_Next. Has anyone gotten it to stop hitching entirely while the camera moves around? After walking around for a while it seems to get a lot better on M64P_N, but something causes it to slow down and become unplayable again until it gets past whatever the issue is. No amount of messing with settings seems to help it, but honestly I have no idea what I'm doing so it's just trail and error.
I know it emulates notoriously badly, but the smoothness I managed to get here and there gives me hope.

RE: Hiding .bin files
@alvin
...and now it's working as it should? I have no idea what happened, I hadn't done a thing besides nuke the folder and try different files. Oh well. -
RE: Hiding .bin files
@alvin Ah, that sucks I'm on Linux and not all that great at using Wine, so ARRM probably won't help me either. Thanks for the help though, gonna keep working at it.

RE: Hiding .bin files
@alvin
I've been trying to do that, but for me the only things under /.emulationstation are the "themes" folder, es_input.cfg, and es_settings.cfg I can't see anything else. -
Hiding .bin files
I've tried finding es_systems.cfg, SSH to find it, etc. For some reason I can't get in through SSH with the default password, "recalboxroot" wasn't working and I couldn't find any newer posts saying the password had changed. Is there any other quick way to hid .bin files without having to go through each and every one?

RE: Emulator audio always routed to headphones when using external drive, 7.2.1 on Pi4
@zing Couldn't post yesterday for some reason, I kept getting an error. But that idea did do the trick. Popped the second USB drive into the Pi and plugged it in, let Recalbox it do it's thing and build the folder structure then shut it down. Renamed the Recalbox folder on the SSD to something like recalbox_old, cut and pasted the new folders from the USB stick onto the SSD along side the old one. Cut and pasted everything important (bios files, roms, and saves) into the new folders and deleted the old ones with any old config files. Booted it up and everything was kosher again. I totally wasn't prepared to have to move everything off the SSD, just don't have the room anymore. Glad I didn't have to.

RE: Emulator audio always routed to headphones when using external drive, 7.2.1 on Pi4
@zing It's been the same external storage I've been using for the past few versions. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to just reformat the drive, I don't have the space for the games elsewhere, mostly the disc images. Would it be possible to format a much smaller drive and just copy everything over but leave the roms, saves, and bios files? Wasn't sure if there was anything hidden I'd have to worry about.

RE: USB adapter issues after update to 7.2.1
@zing That was indeed it. I was afraid there might have been an order to things and there kind of is. But it's best to put that first I guess.

RE: Emulator audio always routed to headphones when using external drive, 7.2.1 on Pi4
Yep, I downloaded the image and installed it fresh, same problem. Are there any possible conflicts with previous folders or files that Recalbox might've made on the SSD?

Emulator audio always routed to headphones when using external drive, 7.2.1 on Pi4
Menu audio is fine, but no emulators have any sound at all once you start a game. This only affects games on external drives. When I switch back to internal storage all the preinstalled games and their audio work fine. I've reinstalled Recalbox, switch audio outputs and everything to no avail. No idea what's going on.
edit: Uncommenting and forcing it to HDMI does nothing, still routed through the headphone jack.

USB adapter issues after update to 7.2.1
Because of the chipset my USB adapter uses doesn't properly enable UASP I've had to add
usb-storage.quirks=152d:1561:u
to my cmdline.txt so it doesn't take five or more minutes to finish booting. But with the latest update cmdline.txt was nuked and adding it back does make it faster, but it seems slower than it was previously. Plus sometimes menus hang up when the drive is being accessed. As it is now I added it to the end/second line past all the text that's already on cmdline.txt. Is there a better place to insert something like this in the line? Like at the start instead of the end where I have it now so it's enabled sooner or more readily?
Thanks!
7.2.1 is looking like a very nice update btw.

Adding bluetooth controller always times out after update to 7.1.1
As it says. I could sync up my PS4 controller no problem before I updated, but now after I pick the controller the Pi just sits there trying to connect until the controller gives up and soon after the Pi does too. It wasn't always like this, after the previous fix for PS4 controllers I had no problems.

Static IP Wired Connection
Is there a way to set a static IP for a wired connection? All I can find in the recalbox.conf are places for wifi static IP and I'm not really using those.

RE: Pi 4 - PS4 controller unpaired after restart
@acris Sweet, thank you very much! Good to finally know it wasn't my doing. I was pulling my hair out.

Pi 4 - PS4 controller unpaired after restart
After any restart it's as if the controller was never paired. I turn the controller on and it flashes white a few times, holds on white for a couple seconds, then turns off. I have to plug in the keyboard and add it again. Until it reboots it's fine, but for some reason it just won't remember it.
This is using the Pi's built in bluetooth, wifi networking is disabled.
Anyone else having this trouble?
Edit: Disconnected the controller via holding the PS button and tried to reconnect, same thing. Flashes, holds, then quits and turns off.

Changing region scraping per rom?
For example the US region Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse being scraped properly, but Akumajou Densetsu is also being scraped as Castlevania III. It looks like Screenscraper has the provisions for both, but is there any way in Recalbox to tell it to scrape for a different region when needed?

RE: InputStream Adaptive (Dragonblaze/Kodi 17.6)
Tried Dragonblaze 6.1 and Twitch plain doesn't begin streaming, it just says something failed to play. YouTube is about as good as it's going to get being an older version and I assume Pluto themselves did something to their service that incidentally make the Kodi app incompatible. The lack of a functional Twitch app is the only thing that's keeping me on Batocera over Recalbox's otherwise much smoother setup these days.

InputStream Adaptive (Dragonblaze/Kodi 17.6)
Is there any way to install a version of InputStream.Adaptive on the latest (6.0 DragonBlaze/Kodi 17.6) build for the Pi 3 B+? I wasn't aware only RTMP Input was available, so I've lost most of what I used the Kodi portion for. Seems YouTube livestreams, Twitch, and apparently Pluto TV must use it.
